    First full day in Brisbane visiting family Booked in advance because of reviews It was great !! Food fantastic, best steak I’ve ever had and the rib starter recommended by waiter was superb I/we will definitely be back

    Had gnocchi which was lovely house-made, quite a large serve and wagyu ribeye, beautiful steak perfectly cooked. Also the espresso pannacotta was fantastic. Expensive but worth it for a special occasion. Service was also amazingly efficient, more wait staff than I could count all working like a well oiled machine.

    Good, wine list limited and very big mark up. No half bottles of wine. Angus fillet good, but NOT exceptional. I'll go back... but NOT in a hurry

    Beautiful restaurant with a little bit inconvenient parking. Very kind staff and excellent food for a passionate steak enthusiast. I really like the Lagavulin whiskey present in the restaurant, excellent choice with a great steak. Apart from the great wagyu, probably even more surprising was the butter served as an entrée. Great choice of music, I could use it to be a little louder.

    The black hide deserves its rating as Brisbane’s premier steak restaurant, the wagyu rib eye is a standout menu choice along with the red wine jus

    Fantastic restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. I ordered the Rib Eye Wagyu and it was cooked perfectly to what I asked for with a delicious crust. Servers were very kind and always checked to see how everything went. I would eat here again.

    We ordered the scallops, prawns, parfait, 1200g Tomahawk and sides to share between 3 of us. Every dish was absolutely delightful and the service was spot on. 100% coming back soon!

    Excellent service. When we found that the Serloin steak was a bit tough,they were willing to change to the rye eye steak for us. The texture and taste were very good.

    Loved our steaks, cooked perfectly, chef even prepared scallop entree off the old menu as we requested for it, plus they served us mango sorbet for free since I told them we celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary. Would delightfully come back!

    Amazing food with a quieter atmosphere, great for more intimate dining. The staff were friendly, polite, well dressed only thing that could improve is perhaps explaining the marbling through the meat and the difference between the grades. We’ll definitely be back for another dinner loved this restaurant

    Quite disappointed with the service to be honest...had to constantly try to catch someone's eye just to order more eg. drinks. But what annoyed me the most was after being handed the dessert menu after the table before us, 5 minutes later that table had a follow up if they wanted anything. Expecting the same with high hopes she never came. Again looking like a lost puppy hoping to get some attention I decided to unwillingly wave my hand and finally received a nod of acknowledgement. Little did I know she then pranced over to another waiter, had a little exchange and proceeded to assist another table. Waiting patiently again hoping perhaps another waiter/waitress would assist us, but who was I kidding...about another 10mins later out of nowhere that lady actually came! Last but not least it was my partners birthday, clear comments were made but again no acknowledgement. But it was great to see that the table near us was with sparkles and all. Overall, loved the food and it was by far the best steak I've had in Australia. If you love good food and minimal service then this is the place to be!

    Heard good review about the steak but I felt disappointed. Its maybe due to the cut and thickness. The wagyu was not melted in my mouth as expected and it's harder that I thought. Good atmosphere though and you can park at Gambaro hotel carpark.
