Anthony Donaldson

Anthony Donaldson started his career as an apprentice in Bundaberg, Queensland before heading for the UK. Over the ten years he was in London, Anthony worked with some of the world’s top chefs including Philip Howard at The Square (2 Michelin Star), and Brett Graham at The Ledbury (2 Michelin Star) which ranks number 14 in the world’s best restaurants. It was at The Ledbury that he built a strong friendship with our Executive Chef Jake Nicolson and how he came to head up the Blackbird kitchen.

Service was great both from the waiter and the sommelier! Food lived up to the standard of the service and it all went well with great views on a sunny afternoon! I had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to go back

Best Steaks in brisbane. The sides are amazing the truffle mash and roast pumpkin are the best.

service wasn't very good felt very pressured over time although food was slow to arrive

Blackbird is becoming a regular eating spot for us when we visit Brisbane, they have fantastic food and amazing service. They make a very decent Amaretto Sour and Old Fashion as well. Highly recommended!

Blackbird Bar & Grill opened its doors in February 2014. It is owned by the Ghanem Group, and it has quickly grown to become Brisbane’s finest restaurant and bar. Blackbird restaurant features river views and two intimate private dining rooms.
