Samuel Cole originally from Wollongong, Australia is only 31 years old with a professional career of over 14 years panning over 5 countries and luxury super yachts. Samuel has worked in 3 hat restaurants and 2 michelin star restaurants abroad. Outside the kitchen he has spent 10 years of his life travelling to enjoy food and cultures around the world. The surf and travel loving chef has now returned to his home country Australia to show his experiences in food and culture.

The food at Blanca is always outstanding but the new tasting 7 is their best yet. Packed with flavours but still fresh and light. They have an excellent cellar with both local and imported stock. The venue is understated and casual and the service is efficient but unintrusive, fun and friendly.

we loved the service and the food was great. My partner wasnt so much of a seafood fan so he wasn't wowed by the experience however I loved most of the combinations of Mediteranean and Japanese.

The food was absolutely incredible so hats off to the chefs. I just felt that although the service was friendly enough they simply didn’t have the training to a high enough level to match the food and price point. If that could be improved the restaurant would really hit the next level.

This is the first ever review I have ever done and have never felt compelled to write a review until now. Every course in the 10 course degustation was unique and delicious, we were quite full by the end. Great selection of drinks as well. Highly recommended.

Did the BLANCA Tasting x7 with my Girlfriend for our One year anniversary. Staff were very friendly Cocktails were great 1st Course - Raw Beef & Sesame Leaf - delicious, complex and unique flavours 2nd - bonito - fascinating flavours, although fishy taste was very enhanced and almost overpowering 3rd - black bun - absolutely incredible. Our favourite. Soft bun, perfectly cooked crab, balance of spice and sauce. Perfection. 4th - octopus - great fusion of Asian and European flavours 5th - mahi mahi and potato's - fish was smothered in miso. Too salty and fishy. Overall flavour balanced with potato. Disappointed by aggressiveness of miso salt. 6th - Pork Ribs - almost identical flavour profile and aggression to mahi mahi. Tough when eaten right after. Crackling and lettuce was incredible. Poor end to the mains. 7th - matcha tea - incredibly unique flavours, very fresh and refreshing. Light and inviting. Overall very happy with the atmosphere and the culinary adventure. The mahi mahi and the pork were very niche flavours and a bit disappointing.
