Fabulous
we went on a very busy night, staff did a good job amongst all the hustle and bustle, food was excellent and we will be going again and recommending to others
The food was amazing and the service was great. Highly recommended for a pleasant evening in a family friendly setting in a convenient location.
The menu offers a great choice of both traditional dishes and other interesting specials. It also caters for vegetarians and vegans with considerable number of choices for both. Prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly and competent.
The service was matter of disappointment. They mixed up chicken dishes with paneer dishes. Luckily we found out the mistakes because we had vegetarian people in our group. And the guy was not ready to accept the mistake. Good thing is that The food was yummy.
Great restaurant at a central location in Civic, close to parking area. The food was delicious and the service was really good. My friends and I had a lovely evening at Blu Ginger.
The food was lovely, the staff were very friendly, accommodating, polite and attentive. I wanted a dirty martini and while they didn’t have everything for it, the barman tried a different version which I really liked. Good people!
First time after hearing great things, lovely restaurant with perfect music and great atmosphere. The waiters were very attentive and made sure we were looked after, the food was stunning and arrived really quickly. Can’t wait to visit again!
The food is hands down the best Indian I’ve ever eaten. I need to go back again soon. There is a fantastic array of vegetarian dishes. Absolutely every dish we ordered was full of flavour and delicious.
Good Indian food , heart of Canberra . Very consistent with the food
Very disappointed, probably won't spend our money here again. Experience food, lacks quality and does not really resemble good quality Indian food.
Blu Ginger is one of those places that always delivers well on the food and has been a traditional favourite. Service has been patchy on my last two visits (including today) where if you’re looking for a drink or top-up, you don’t hold your breath.
The food was delicious, good variety of options on the menu to cater for all different persons choices from vegetarian, to chicken and lamb dishes. Also food was decent portions and displayed good in bowls. Naan was also very good. Also great service, would definitely recommend to people to try out this restaurant.
A return to Blu Ginger, after having not eaten there for at least 2 year. The aroma as I entered reminded me of why I had good memories of the place. Delicious food, great place to meet friends and a convenient location.
A great place to eat where one can have reasonable conversation, though the music was at time a little piercing. Really good and plentiful food at very reasonable prices, with excellent cheerful service. A place to return to.
This restaurant has a great feel about it, the service is friendly and the food is amazing. This was our third visit and it has never disappointed us in any way.
Great service. Beautiful food. Restaurant had a lovely feel. Can't wait to return and try more of the awesome food and amazing cocktails. Value for money.
Delicious meal
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Blu Ginger. The food was delicious, the service was excellent. They didn’t rush us and were very attentive. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere.
The food here is delicious and you can’t find better Butter Chicken in Canberra! The staff were friendly, helpful and cheerful. I recommend Blu Ginger highly.
The menu is extensive, I am Coeliac and don’t eat meat, and I was spoilt for choice. Our table of four all ordered a main to share and while they were all creamy, they all tasted a style different! The meals are very large and next time we go we won’t order as much! The cocktails were yummy too!
5 Genge St, 2601, Canberra (ACT), Australia
Treat your taste buds to the culinary delights India has to offer at Blu Ginger. A brightly patterned feature wall, high ceilings and funky light fixtures add to the atmosphere of this Indian eatery. Located on 5 Genge Street, Canberra, pick a table in front of the glass wall overlooking the road – it’s a great people-watching spot as you eat.
Blu Ginger goes through great pains to pick the freshest, locally-sourced produce and combine it with imported, and authentic, spices from the sub-continent. The result? Some of the best Indian food you’ve ever sunk your teeth into. Families who have a hankering for upmarket Indian food or groups of friends will fit in nicely here.
Tender, smoky lamb cutlets take centre stage on the starters menu while a lentil and coconut vegetable kootu is mixed in a deliciously thick sauce that has a surprising kick to it. Don’t expect any bland chicken tikka masalas here either – mouther-wateringly creamy and peppered with capsicums is what you’ll get. Order fluffy garlic naan breads on the side and your stomachs will leave more than happy.
