Very good
Apart from the main course arriving almost on top of the entree creating a bit of a gobble and go feeling however without a negative vibes, the waiter took it back to the kitchen and when our mains did come back they were lovely and hot and freshly cooked.... so top marks loved the Mango salad, fish and chips were good not the best I’ve had but definitely close, they were hot, and crispy.. The restaurant appeared clean and not too overcrowded, music a bit loud inside., outside was fine and great for a relaxing meal and people watching. The wait staff were polite , had fresh clean attire and finger nails, were very efficient and personable. I’d go back again.
We have loved the seafood platters before, but this time it was not presented nice and all the grilled seafood was overcooked and the chips were burnt. This time the food was disappointing.
We decided on the Blue Fish for our 25th Anniversary celebration lunch and are so glad we did ... beautiful food, great service and of course a wonderful view .. we will be back .. thank you Blue Fish
Good service.
Great place. Food was Devine!!
Staff was friendly however, they were clearly understaffed. We had the cold seafood platter which was worth the wait. The oysters were fresh and delicious. Would come back again
Great food, great location, pity that this booking didn’t show in their booking register...still got a nice table!
Staff were great, super quick at attentive but there was a table very close to us who were very drunk and loud and swearing the entire time so it’s a bit hard to enjoy a nice romantic meal.
I was a little bit disappointed as I have a discount but they didn’t honour it.
One staff a bit unfriendly, but the whole thing it was ok.
Amazing food
Good food and service but overpriced - perhaps catering more for tourists than locals.
The food was amazing but it was pretty expensive for what you got. But, it has great views onto Darling Harbour. Also the staff were very attentive so I would recommend this restaurant to others.
Great food -giant seafood platter. Plenty on there and good variety.
Memorable occasion celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary. Celebrated with a grilled seafood platter for 2 which included Alaskan Snow Crab, scallops, king prawns and a range of fish fillet.
The meals are very much overpriced. The overheads - being at Darling Harbour - must be enormous. I had the fisherman’s basket $35 and it was very ordinary - package seafood - 2 small breadcrumb prawn cutlets, 2 calamari rings, medium fish cocktail (similar to frozen I & G) deep fried - the best bits were bbq squid (small piece) with two large king prawns that were also Bbq. And one grilled scallop in its shell. All on a bed of chips. The wife had a half lobster Mornay $50 that she enjoyed. We’ve had similar at club restaurants that were half the price. The service was above average - polite and willing to make their customers feel welcomed. We were celebrating our anniversary and a rare treat of getting into the city for a special feed.
Sat down at a table with the owners dog next to us which kept barking and jumping up.long time to be seated or serves.when we was they didn't have the wine that went with the fish.then I asked for more sauce it never came! Second time it finally did.bill was 500 dollars for service that was awful
Amazing service and food. Music could change a little bit and restroom needs a little work but overall excellent place!
Great customer service, great food, and great view. Very good pricing and Would highly recommend
Always a pleasure to return to Bluefish The staff always look after us with service and fantastic food

Catch of the day. At the north end of the Harbourside complex in Darling Harbour, Blue Fish is in prime sun position, as you can see by the many tourists settled on the comfy outdoor couches and enjoying the fine weather. Once you finally manage to score a seat, you’ll see why Blue Fish is so popular. Enjoy fresh seafood and Australia’s best fish and chips, alongside modern Australian fare including chicken linguine, seared kangaroo skewers and the classic ship to shore steak. Blue Fish – so called because of the aquarium teeming with blue fish at the entrance – is also known for its extra-large seafood platters, and especially the ‘Giant Family Seafood Platter’ which feeds a whole tribe with oysters, prawns, salmon, Morton Bay bugs, mussels, calamari, octopus, squid, lobster, barramundi and chips. Grab your friends and give it a go - we bet you won’t make it through to the end! Best dish: Seafood platter, bucket of prawns.
