Excellent food and service. A very interesting tasting menu with local wines.

Small but beautifully formed! This a place to seek out, and not to be put off by the location or initial impression. Food is genuinely excellent and wine match good. Service is personable and attentive. The tasting menus seem slightly on the expensive side, but the food is definitely well worth it as cooking is spot on, dishes well presented and whilst predominantly classic there is a slight twist that elevates them. If a Michelin reviewer ever visits it, this restaurant may get itself a star.

Very quaint little Restaurant you must not miss when in Madeira. The food is out of this world. Try the suckling pig, I have never eaten anything like it. The service is excellent and you will not be disappointed.

Atmospheric little restaurant seating only twenty people in one sitting. All food prepared and cooked in front of you by four skilled chefs. Unique fusion food that was quite delicious. The menu says it all!

The food is good but not worth that much money!

Boho is very small but lovely! The waiter was delightful - helpful, polite and attentive. Food was sublime: couldn’t fault it! The strawberry gazpacho was delicious, the suckling pig melt-in-the-mouth, the red snapper perfectly cooked. And the chocolate pudding .....!!!!!

The best restaurant in Funchal, the food and staff are excellent.

Fantastic gourmet creative food, beautifully presented. Great service, nicely paced, wonderful wine pairing. Perfect cooking techniques. Nice combination of Portuguese and Asian cuisines. The restaurant is small, but cozy and with a lot of style, and the love of cooking clearly shows in each dish. The red snapper ceviche was probably the best I’ve ever had. Grouper in champagne sauce with orange and fennel, as well as the guinea fowl with Thai green curry, were perfectly cooked sous vide, leaving them moist and melting in your mouth. After having dined at 27 different restaurants in Madeira, including the Michelin starred ones, Boho Bistro is definitely one of my favorites.

Loved this restaurant. Our waiter was attentive, had great suggestions and was always right there when we needed him. The food is exquisite; complex combinations of tastes like strawberry and blue cheese in a gazpacho, sweet potato in a ceviche (I think) and an “I love cheese” dessert that is out of this world. 5 stars for creativity to the chefs; 5 stars to our wonderful waiter (so long as 5 is the highest you can give). We liked it so much that we are doing a repeat performance in a few nights. I have to have the “I love cheese” dessert one more time!
