Great food as always. They were really busy for a rainy Wednesday evening in February which was a surprise and possibly why they had just 1 wait staff on the floor. Food still came out within an acceptable amount of time if not as quickly as it it had on previous visits. We love Boo's Kitchen with the tasty food and friendly service will definitely keep us coming back again and again with new friends so they can also experience it themselves.

Visited again for dinner. Really enjoyed the Wagyu steak turkish bread burger, very juice. Also tried the Salmon Salad Laab with the suggested Sticky Rice. Very sticky indeed, I picked it all up with my fork. The salad and salmon was very good, has a nice crunch from the toasted rice, the chili sauce gave it a nice kick. Really enjoyable meals, I had a very good night here.

Beef Curry, Thai fried rice and vege spring rolls are quite good. Deep fried Tofu no much flavor. Customer service is pretty good too. We didn't know we can park at Princess Plaza carpark, so this time we spent $5 for parking. We would like to come back again to try more different dishes next time.

About the restaurant

I created Boo's Kitchen to bring families together through food. Our focus is on Northern Thai and Isan cuisine. My restaurant is bright and breezy and has an abundance of natural light with a glass frontage. You can dine alfresco under market umbrellas and soak up the sun or inside and enjoy y extensive menu with dishes from a collection of favourites from my family home, including an Asian omelette, with a splash of soy sauce and jasmine rice to specialist Isan signature dishes such as Isan style Mok Bar – steamed salmon with herbs – or perhaps lightly battered and deep fried soft shell crab in yellow curry. Not in the mood for Thai food? Try mr traditional club sandwich, or cheeseburger with chips and gravy.

A little bit about myself.... My given name is Bussakorn but with my families love of seafood the nicknamed me Boo which means Crab in Thai !! This of course extended to my little sister who was nicknamed Goong - Prawns in Thai. I still wonder whether it was just fun or their true love of seafood !! Well, my brother, Lek (in the photpgragh above) and I followed in my mum's footsteps with me starting this restaurant to share my love of food and my brother who is a professional chef at the Pullman Group of Hotels. By the way is given name is Khomsan - In Thailand nicknames are common !!

I grew up in a little village called Puvieng in the North Eastern part of Thailand, called Isan with two brothers and a sister. My father was a rice farmer and my mum sold home made food from a kitchen set up in front of our house. I started very young preparing all the ingredients for my mum to cook before I left for school and when I came back in the afternoons. watching and helping my mum cook gave a me a solid foundation on the Isan, Laos and Thai flavours.

We sat as a family on a mat on the floor with a variety of dishes cooked by my mum, my brother and myself, picking at the sticky rice with our hands and savouring the food. Inevitably, we would be joined by our extended family or friends who were always welcome to share our meals.

I have created Boo's Kitchen as a true family restaurant, our chefs, our barista, our staff and I are all fun loving family and I hope you will feel this when you visit my restaurant. I hope you enjoy the menu I have put together for you...
