We booked using thefork 50% deal, which we had done a few times with other Restaurants, so we are not new to this type of promotion. All in all the food is quite nice although might be on the high side if we were to pay full price. The seating might not appeal to some as they are mostly stools. What really irks/annoys us is the service. The lady who talked to us (not the one taking the order) has a voice that cuts thru the cement (so dont bring your first date there). First she asked for our 6-digit code which no other restaurants have asked for. They have our name on the Booking Book! So I had to fiddle with my phone in the poorly-lit restaurant with my poor old eyes, and going thru a few emails from thefork using the name "Boo". The whole time she had all the opportunity to alert us that the deal doesnt cover their "Fav". (Other restaurants like Runcorn and Gyoza made a point to tell us that their 50% deal doesnt cover Special, which is a nice gesture). Granted it is our fault for not reading the fine print. but one wont expect them to exclude a Chef Recommendation. And everyone else did the right thing by alerting us old people. The time she spent on getting the code would be more than sufficient to tell us this. Last but not least, she had to split the payment into two: with discount and without discount. So bizzarre! With so many other good Thai restaurants around, dont think we will go back!
I am really very sorry to hear of your experience in my restaurant - I am very disappointed as I have tried my best to bring a friendly family feel and have a casual atmosphere in the restaurant. I hope you will give another opportunity and I will take your comments and acting on them.

Good atmosphere, but the chair is not comfortable. Food is too salty and at higher end of price 200g of wagyu steak shouldn't be halved and does not has variety of sauce

We enjoyed the Isan Thai food at Boo's!

Entrees were not bad. Curry mains were very heavy and some of it were over salted. Portions were generous with ingredients.

Super yummy Thai Curry. The waitress was very friendly and hard working. She was doing all the service and drinks for everyone but still with a big smile. Enjoyed the food and it's good value with the 50%off food.

Best Thai restaurant, absolutely delicious food, great range in the menu selections, good service, very reasonably priced. Would like a bigger selection of wines by the glass.

About Boo's Kitchen

I created Boo's Kitchen to bring families together through food. Our focus is on Northern Thai and Isan cuisine. My restaurant is bright and breezy and has an abundance of natural light with a glass frontage. You can dine alfresco under market umbrellas and soak up the sun or inside and enjoy y extensive menu with dishes from a collection of favourites from my family home, including an Asian omelette, with a splash of soy sauce and jasmine rice to specialist Isan signature dishes such as Isan style Mok Bar – steamed salmon with herbs – or perhaps lightly battered and deep fried soft shell crab in yellow curry. Not in the mood for Thai food? Try mr traditional club sandwich, or cheeseburger with chips and gravy. A little bit about myself.... My given name is Bussakorn but with my families love of seafood the nicknamed me Boo which means Crab in Thai !! This of course extended to my little sister who was nicknamed Goong - Prawns in Thai. I still wonder whether it was just fun or their true love of seafood !! Well, my brother, Lek (in the photpgragh above) and I followed in my mum's footsteps with me starting this restaurant to share my love of food and my brother who is a professional chef at the Pullman Group of Hotels. By the way is given name is Khomsan - In Thailand nicknames are common !! I grew up in a little village called Puvieng in the North Eastern part of Thailand, called Isan with two brothers and a sister. My father was a rice farmer and my mum sold home made food from a kitchen set up in front of our house. I started very young preparing all the ingredients for my mum to cook before I left for school and when I came back in the afternoons. watching and helping my mum cook gave a me a solid foundation on the Isan, Laos and Thai flavours. We sat as a family on a mat on the floor with a variety of dishes cooked by my mum, my brother and myself, picking at the sticky rice with our hands and savouring the food. Inevitably, we would be joined by our extended family or friends who were always welcome to share our meals. I have created Boo's Kitchen as a true family restaurant, our chefs, our barista, our staff and I are all fun loving family and I hope you will feel this when you visit my restaurant. I hope you enjoy the menu I have put together for you...
