I took my elderly mum and her friend for high tea. It was a wet and cold day but our lovely waitress put us near a cosy heater and we had a perfect afternoon. The food was varied and delicious and the service was lovely, polite, friendly and attentive. We will definitely come again. It was a special afternoon.

Our little party of 3 had a lovely High Tea at Boronia House last Saturday. The atmosphere and venue is delightfully surrounded by elegant gardens. One improvement might be to have cushions available to make the hard, Un-upholstered chairs more comfortable. I would also like to be offered unlimited tea and coffee as part of the $55 High Tea. The waitresses were very sweet and did their best to make our visit enjoyable. All in all it was a nice experience. Thanks

A beautiful venue on beautiful grounds, rich with local history. I know it's famous for its high tea, but we really loved our weekend lunch. And the staff were charming too.

We went for the Fathers Day special three course meal.. and it was sensational! Food was perfect, service was very kind and the venue is as beautiful as always. The only let down was the coffee after lunch.. but apart from that a lovely afternoon for Dad. Well done.
Thanks Malcom, glad you enjoyed everything.

The High Tea was beautifully presented and the food was excellent. Unfortunately the hot food and the tea was luke warm. Otherwise we had an enjoyable afternoon.

Food was lovely but the service left a lot to be desired! No one came to our table to ask if we wanted anything further during the time we were there. We had to call the girl over a few times, asking for more hot water for our tea. Then within half an hour of being there, the guy started vacuuming around us. Not a little bit, the whole bottom level. We were a party of 6 and could hardly hear ourselves talking. Couldn’t believe we paid $55 for my daughters bday high tea and we had vacuuming for 10min. Not the sort of place I would have imagined this to happen. Very disappointed!
Hi Melissa. With regards to your service generally speaking after the stands have been delivered the staff will usually only pop back and top up waters and wines. We only refill teapots on request not as a point of service. Having said that I will remind the staff to ensure they do pop back and check that everything is okay at the tables rather than having to be be called over. I was 'the guy' who was vaccumming the tables in your vicinity on the day. Sorry you found our Dyson stick vac so intrusive but every other table around you had just left simultaneously from the early seating and there was a lot of scone crumbs and detrius on the floor which had to be cleaned up for the next tables arriving. The Dyson is the most efficient, effective and hygenic means of maintaining the cleanliness of our restaurant floor for the enjoyment of everyone. We hope to see you again another time, perhaps on a quieter day when you can truly enjoy the lovely ambience of Bornia House. If you would like to rebook anytime soon please let me know and I will personally bring your table a bottle of complimentary sparkling wine for the afternoon.

For a special outing with my niece, Boronia House was a lovely choice. The food was creative enough to avoid being utterly dull, but not wacky. Gorgeous room, cups and accessories. The Devonshire Tea was quite filling, and more than we needed.
