Best eatery in Port. Highly recommend. A fresh and modern cuisine. Small menu but what they do they do really well. Good wine menu as well. Suits families, couple and small group functions. Outdoor setting is lovely
Visited Botanic a year ago on our last Port Macquarie holiday and absolutely loved it. Pleased to report that nothing has changed; it's still a cracking place to eat with so many delicious dishes. Can only hope it stays around for another year!
A fantastic venue with an amazing menu and drinks to match.
Absolutely excellent! Could not fault it in anyway I would absolutely recommend this place. The food was exceptional and the wine list had a large variety of choices
John is passionate about his wine list and we had a great chat. Lovely food and the guitarist was talented. If you’re looking for a quiet spot, better to ask for a table inside.
A nice change from the normal, great taste sensation.
Great food and atmosphere
Lovely vibe and food was decent.
A genuinely great restaurant with knowledge staff and outstanding service. I would highly recommend.
good service, lovely food with nice selection of wines and beers. relaxed ambiance and music. eating outside is a must. highly recommend
Tables that arrived after us were served first. Took 1.5 hours and only had a main meal. Food extremely salty.
Food was so amazing! Service was incredibly quick, great selection of drinks.
A small but well-formed menu - our selections were delectable - incredibly fresh prawns bursting with flavour, succulent jewfish with stunning smoked potatoes, and a meltingly delicious dish of eggplant and silken tofu. Service was attentive without being invasive, and the atmosphere casual and creative. A gem of a find.
Warm and friendly service with great food.
Great night, great wine
Food was well below average given the cost. Octopus was almost burnt, they didn’t have the hangar steak, and they also ran out of the pork belly after we ordered it (felt sorry for the table next to us). It was the Easter/Anzac period but they should have been prepared and ordered more. The live music was a plus and the atmosphere in the alfresco area was nice too. But I wouldn’t come back because the food was so poor
Very disappointing. After viewing the menu on line, had decided on the steak to be told there wasn’t any, second choice was the Pork Belly to be told they sold out of that as well! That left fish or Lamb!! Pretty poor outcome for our first experience and having visitors from Sydney joining me. You would think having such a small mains menu, they would be able to cater. Not at all impressed!
The oyster served was not fresh at all.
Food was great & reasonably priced. Service was great too. Wine selection limited & very expensive. Very limited options on where to sit when it rained (Very heavy during our visit as it happens). Closed at 9:30 on on Friday night -no option for coffee!!
We had 3 entrees, 2 mains, 2 deserts and 3 glasses of wine. Great value for the amount of food we consumed. Flavours in every dish were amazing.
