Dory llet blackened with authentic cajun spices and a mango sauce, served with buttery corn, rice and side salad
Marinated for 24 hours in our house spice blend, coated in seasoned our and deep fried in peanut oil until golden brown, tossed in our spicy honey sauce, served with sweet potato mash
The menu was a little tacky, the service was a little substandard, and the food was ordinary.
Great atmosphere and delicious food. The cocktails were amazing as well.
Nice place to eat, good atmosphere
The biggest let down was the food
Lovely meal! Great value for money.
Food was delicious and service was great. Excellent buttermilk fried chicken
Restaurant great. Unfortunately FORK is not they told the restaurant 6.30pm and so when we got there they had to shuffle tables as they thought we weren't coming. Bourbon even called me to check we were coming but I missed the call. So Bourbon great but FORK needs to lift its act. Next time I'll just call the place directly!
Great restaurant, seating was very tight
Food was great. Service fine would dine there again.
Great service and food
Lovely warm, personable staff.
Food came out cold. Two meals were not even received and when we asked about them we were told that they would be five minutes away as there’d been a mix up between entree’s and mains, we had not actually ordered any mains. All other meals had been finished by the time the two remaining meals eventually arrived. Very disappointed.
food wasn't as good as I expected but service was friendly
The place is lovely for a drink or two and we liked the mirrored bar and its whole set up. Unfortunately our food was nothing to write home about so I don’t think I would come back for that but maybe return for just a drink.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere.
Love this menu. Small (share), medium and large meals. Something for snacks, quick to-go lunch, drinks with friends, dinner out or supper. All the dishes we have tried have been very tasty, with layers of flavour and seasoning. Not too hot. Friendly and quick service. An any occasion, any time place.
Slow service, had to ask for menu and water, after reserving a table, chicken wings not cooked enough, pink near the bone. Other food was tasty.?? Don’t think I would go back or recommend
Tasty food at a good price.
Great service by our waiters, food price was what you expect for a restaurant in southbank but portion sizes were very good. Every thing including shrimp was cooked well. Only thing we didnt eat was the rice in the gumbo dish and that was simply due to being full. Ordered 2 drinks 2 mains 2 entrees. Total cost was around $45 pp
I called on Christmas Eve to make sure that you were open Boxing Day, a female staff member said you were. I booked online via Dimmi for Boxing Day at 7:30, received confirmation email, and another on the day of booking. Only to turn up and it was closed!
184 Grey Street, 4101, South Brisbane, Australia
Put on your best southern drawl and prepare your taste buds for a serious flavour onslaught.
Bourbon Street pays homage to the Southern diners of Louisiana and New Orleans - with plenty of Southern hospitality a rich creole-inspired menu, a decadent drinks list, a quirky dining space and a breezy homestead-style alfresco area this is ideal resto for a casual catch up or a lazy Sunday session. The menu brings the flavours of the south with a menu featuring plenty of smoky, slow cooked and deep fried options - the sticky BBQ ribs and buttermilk biscuit fried chicken are always crowd pleasers. And for dessert? Well, it doesn't get much better than the Louisiana pecan pie with double cream. Digest while listening to Chalkie (the in house musician) bang out a few tunes on the piano.
Best Dish: buttermilk fried chicken.
