Incredible. Saint Crispin is always wonderful, but Matty’s takeover is definitely not one to be missed!

Having rotating chefs is a great idea, but I think it ultimately resulted in an under-developed menu. The dishes had some interesting ideas, but I think they could have used a little more tweaking to get the perfect balance.

We are the group of 5 who ordered the banquet. Firstly we had 2 bowl of prawn crackers for the snacks then come the kingfish, sanchoibao as a medium size plate. For the main dish we were offered 2 small fried rice, fish and kungpo chicken and 2 vegie side dish( very weird vegie mostly rhubarb stem which you cant eat) and lastly very small baked custard tart (which taste very good). All of the 5 people left super hungry. Probably if we are to do ala carte would cost less than 300 bucks but with the banquet we paid 375. So super disappointing in those regards. Plus we thought they would offer their best dishes for banquet like the milk bun, clam or the sweet potato but none of that... so my recommendation is that dont do banquet if you want to go

The food, drinks and service were all great. We were, however, seated near a group of about 10 people who were loud. Unfortunately the set up of the restaurant just made them seem even louder as they competed to be heard.

I was really excited to come and check out the broadsheet restaurant for the first time being a bit of a foodie and working in the hospitality industry for years. Although the service and atmosphere was fantastic, the value and quality of the food/menu just didn't measure up to expectations. We tried over 6 dishes between the two of us and nothing was very impressive at all, especially for the price... now i'm not sure i'd try it out again after that experience and the amount of choice Melbourne has to dine out.
