For David Wright cooking is his passion and vocation. Since he was a boy, learning from his Sicilian nonna after school and fishing off the rocks with his uncle, cooking has been in his blood. David has made Buon Ricordo his home and it’s more than just a job. David who has spent significant time cooking in Italy, creates a place for modern innovation alongside well preserved traditions and family values paying homage to the creation of good memories.

Waiter was wonderful - Food was extremely delicious. Servings are generous. Ordered the Truffle pasta & Veal main courses as well as rocket salad as a side ..We shared between 2. We left very satisfied and VERY happy :)

Consistent quality on the food, the drinks and the service. It's nice to be able to hear your dining companions when they talk at a normal level. The table is set perfectly on an immaculate tablecloth that is changed with each diner. The menu is consistently good but still shows imagination with gradual changes.

It is a great Italian restaurant with all the food delicious. The pasta dish is to die for. Entree and mains were amazing. Service is also very good.

Excellent food diminished by an aggressive waiter and high price point. $45 for a main size tagliatelle is very steep, especially when the main size pasta prices aren’t listed on the menu nor communicated to you by wait staff when it’s offered. The service felt condescending. As a patron you just shouldn’t feel that way. Was it because we ordered the cheapest wine on the menu at $75? If the service was better I wouldn’t have objected to the prices. Italians would despair at this standard of hospitality.

About Buon Ricordo Restaurant

A Sydney Classic Over the past 21 years, Buon Ricordo has fed everyone from Cate Blanchett to the Packer family, and it’s not hard to see why. Order right at this established restaurant and you’re in for a real treat. Chef and restaurateur Armando Percuoco is all about keeping dishes pared back, and letting flavours speak for themselves. To take full advantage of the food here, stick to the entrees and pastas, and share them to sample as much of Buon Ricordo’s authentic Italian cooking as you can. The parmesan-cream fettuccine, with its truffled fried egg, is a dish that regulars won't let retire from the menu, so you’d be silly not to give it a whirl. From the jacketed wait-staff; dishes finished off tableside; old world wines; ironed tablecloths; upholstered high-back chairs; and a soundtrack, not a playlist playing softly in the background, you can see why diners hold this place so close to their hearts. Best dish: parmesan-cream fettuccine
