Once again an excellent meal, excellent food, excellent service, excellent wine. Been dining there for over 20 years. Always a pleasure. It's like family. I wish everyone well should a lockdown occur. We'll be back as soon as this fine establishment reopens again.
This was as good as i remembered when I came years ago. Very authentic Italian sensational cooking. Waiter very welcoming and suggestions were exactly what we needed and loved every dish.
We come here regularly because it’s consistently superb on every front. Great food. Always. Great service. Always. BR knows what it’s doing because it’s been doing it well for a very long time. A marathon winner not a Johnny come lately sprinter.
Love this place and my husband and I go every year. Only minor criticism tonight was it was incredibly busy and service slipped from its usual excellent self.
Buon Riccordo is so good. If you haven't been go. You need to order the truffle feticinni and pork sausage, yummy. Take 6 people and have a bit of everything.
Earnestly in a grumpy mood giving rise to all of the difficulties in the bush we just went out to enjoy for one evening only at a place to which every City friend told us was the best restaurant in. Sydney. Well it it is! It must be. Because the staff, food and every unpretentious thing about this place will leave a life long memory for us. Thank you for the beautiful food. Thank you everyone for an a one in a million restaurant
The food was excellent, and the service was great. The dishes were a little pricey but worth the money. The only issue was the markup on the wines and the mineral water. A small bottle of St Pellegrino cost $7:50. Overall it was a fantastic night out and better than in many other restaurants in Sydney.
We use to go each year for our anniversary - and its being 8 years! Unfortunately we had no idea Armando sold it and last night we felt/tasted the difference. Service was excellent (as always) but we felt the food was lacking in taste. I have never had to use Salt and Pepper! We were grateful for the complimentary Bruschetta (very tiny) but it was doused in Garlic it seemed. Also - why give 3 tiny slices of bread between 2 people - is two each too many?? The pasta was "too" al dente. My pasta was swimming in white cream sauce and my wife's red sauce was overwhelmed with herbs. Apologies to the chef but its only fair he knows. Not as important - we found the pricing not good value. (may i suggest you place the different pricing on the menu if there is a difference between the menu price and what you are billed for? $32 to $48 is a touch on the ridiculous for pasta. I understand it was a main meal portion but it should be on the menu. We would have ordered differently - and spent more money... and when the specials are mentioned, they should be on the menu or an additional leaflet - explaining what the specials are and how much they cost. Its a common problem with expensive restaurants and I feel they shoot themselves on the foot most of the time. Unfortunately - I have to look for another venue henceforth. Armando where are you!? LOL!
I adore this restaurant, with the quality of food, service and wine as excellent as ever now that David Wright is continuing the tradition started by Armando Percuoco.
Absolutely brilliant ! I have travelled extensively throughout Europe and enjoyed some lovely dishes but David is an artist his attention to detail is perfect! The team really look after your every need ! The atmosphere is lovely and tranquil! All dishes were balanced with flavour and being Italian myself we rarely go to a restaurant and feel satisfied with the quality of food, service & atmosphere but Buon Ricordo excel in all aspects ! Very highly recommended !!!!
Everything was lovely, thanks!
We had a wonderful evening. The food was first class and the service was terrific. Highly recommended. Our waiter was very attentive, but not intrusive. A night to remember!
Lovely restaurant with great service
Best Italian food in Sydney
Love it. The FETTUCCINE AL TARTUFOVO is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Buon Riccordo is a must for food lovers. The menu has something for everyone, the servings are very generous, an excellent wine list, and for fine dining the prices are very reasonable. David does a great job in the kitchen, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The truffle fettuccine is our favourite.
Great food and service. Nice, old school italian vibe, but very expensive - even for Sydney!
Sad to hear Armando left the business but the standard was still excellent, still had a few signature dishes like the truffle egg pasta and will go again!
Very overpriced for the food served. Expensive wine list.
It’s been on my bucket list for some time and wasn’t disappointed

A Sydney Classic
Over the past 21 years, Buon Ricordo has fed everyone from Cate Blanchett to the Packer family, and it’s not hard to see why. Order right at this established restaurant and you’re in for a real treat. Chef and restaurateur Armando Percuoco is all about keeping dishes pared back, and letting flavours speak for themselves. To take full advantage of the food here, stick to the entrees and pastas, and share them to sample as much of Buon Ricordo’s authentic Italian cooking as you can. The parmesan-cream fettuccine, with its truffled fried egg, is a dish that regulars won't let retire from the menu, so you’d be silly not to give it a whirl. From the jacketed wait-staff; dishes finished off tableside; old world wines; ironed tablecloths; upholstered high-back chairs; and a soundtrack, not a playlist playing softly in the background, you can see why diners hold this place so close to their hearts.
Best dish: parmesan-cream fettuccine
