Miso glazed barramundi, sesame vegetables, ginger
Lemon myrtle roasted chicken, herbed mash potato, sichimi dutch carrots, broccolini, wild mushroom sauce
Smoky ancho chilli sauce, salsa creole, polenta
Great service, polite waitress
Not much sides accompanying with the lamb steak. Presentation of food is not attractive enough.
Suggest to add more items on the lunch menu.
All food was very good, except for the Pana cotta, which was so hard, it didn't even wobble no matter how hard we shook it. The service was very disappointing as well, forgetting one of our dishes, missing a request to remove an empty plate because the waiter pretty much ran off after delivering a couple of dishes, and forgetting a request for water,
food was cold, seemed to.be prefer cooked, meat platter
Not many choices from lunch menu. Suggest to add pasta and salad.
The staff is very helpful.
We had the more platter. Very disappointing. Steak and chicken was average, way too much black pudding, the pork belly was terrible and cooked correctly significantly too fatty, not rendered correctly the rib was chewy and bland and they discussed to put a hot sauce on the corn ????? Over price and under delivered. On a somewhat positive note the very small and very expensive steaks our companions bought was a good cut and cooked well. If it wasn’t for the excellent service the night would have been a complete waste.
Great food and service. Desserts particularly good and well presented.
The lunch menu too simple. Suggest to add more items.
Very central for a meeting.parking is great.a good walk aft dinner.a package
Steak cost $40 per person, was tough and was accompanied by an uninspiring potato and a couple of veggies. Very limited and expensive lunch menu. Not at all value for money. Thank goodness we had an Entertainment Card and were able to get a discount. The waiting staff were however great and tried very hard to please
Very limited choice from the menu. Suggest to add more items.
Best steak I have eaten for a long time. Highly recommended
The venue is excellent and the service was very good Food selection was great and good value The fact that you can park in the hotel car park is very good and takes the pressure off finding a suitable parking space locally and then worrying about the time frame and getting a parking ticket Also great for bad or hot weather days The lift brings you directly up into the foyer and restaurant
Great food all round
Too limited choice from the lunch menu. Suggest to put more items to select.
The restaurant called me in the morning and told me that they'll have a big party and will be very noisy. Suggested I choose any other place. Such case has already happened three time in my history. The restaurant should aware while they have booked a big party and should not notify the customer at the last minute when I've already lined up with friends to come.
I thought I had booked the AMEX/THE FORK $20 special. Apparently not. They gave us the dessert free in the end as I said it was good p.r. They hadn't heard about it.
Food was superb

On the block
The Butcher's Bench belongs to Glen Waverley´s funky hotel Novotel. But you don´t have to be a traveller from a distant land to enjoy the food here. This new venue offers lip-smacking delicious meals to touros and locals alike – no biases here.
With a contemporary menu that showcases some of the regions finest produce there's bound to be something to tickle your fancy, and as the name suggests this is a great place for carnivores.
Featuring rusting styling, bold flavours and a relaxed atmosphere, The Butchers Bench will not disappoint.
Best dish: mixed grill followed by deconstructed brownie and salted caramel!
