food was ok, but we were seated next to a big party which was rather annoying, and we asked initially asked to move but told that they couldn't. 20 minutes later we were told that they could do, but at this stage we had already started eating and all i wanted to do was eat and.But I will return

We love Saffron - amazing, authentic and different Indian food, and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The best Indian in town, always.

very disappointing. We have been several times before but I think it must have changed hands as the service was very poor. It was not busy - this was a surprise, as all our previous visits have been on a Friday evening. Staff were disinterested and disengaged. The food was ok but we had to ask for drinks, and $15 corkage is very steep, Fortunately this was waived when one of our party complained. Sorry because we always enjoyed Safrron previously.

About Cafe Saffron Ivanhoe

Spice Things Up.We love when we discover a restaurant that feels like a local secret. That’s just the case with Café Saffron in Ivanhoe. A neighbourhood gem, Café Saffron serves traditional, hearty Indian food. There’s nothing garish or overstated about this place; it’s all about simple food that speaks for itself.Whether we’re in the mood for something mild or we want to rev things up with a hit of hot spice, Café Saffron offers plenty of choices. So what do the regulars love? The lamb dishes deserve a mention, as well as the spinach curry with paneer. Pair that curry with some saffron or basmati rice and garlic naan and you’re in for a treat. Could Café Saffron in Ivanhoe become your new local favourite? We think there’s a good chance. And we love that Cafe Saffron offers takeaway for those nights when we’d rather cosy up on the couch for dinner. Best dish: Spinach and paneer curry
