The food, service and atmosphere at this delightful restaurant more than met the expectations of our large family group. We were made to feel welcome and comfortable at Va Bene. Each member of our group was able to find menu items that met their culinary requests, and we really enjoyed the top bubbly on their wine list.

Pizzas and salad great, however my husband had scalloping fungi supposed to be baby veal, definitely not, it was tough. Not happy, since he is very choosy where eats and I recommended we eat here. If you cannot supply baby veal don’t put it on the menu.

Lovely staff, a pleasant greeting on entry. This is a caf where a spontaneous stop for caffeine and cake hit has been taken and have been offered a table. Booked lunch on this occasion and enjoyed the meal. The kitchen does a good job; we encountered prompt preparation and service. Good variety on the menu (Italian/Oz style of course). Competitive pricing. A venue where a variety of platter size is available. So, when taking care what to eat there is a good selection of veg and salads on offer, as well as pasta, pizza and fries.

Only thing i would recommended is rounded tables that way everyone attending can communicate and socialise with everyone else seated at the table too.

Salmon was well cooked but the vegetables served with it were discordant. Fast delivery of meals but staff were very quick in removing empty or near empty dishes. Glass of wine was removed while it still had some wine in it. Wine glasses were cold like they came straight from the fridge

Made to feel welcome as soon as we entered. Good range of different cuisines on the menu. Food was some of the best we've had, surpassing many higher priced venues we've dined at. Very friendly staff offering very efficient service. Adequate wine list at reasonable prices. Will definitely be returning.

About the restaurant

Molto bene!

Café Va Bene is a Italian restaurant dolling out fresh South Australian produce in Adelaide’s north eastern suburbs. First established in 1994 Café Va Bene has a reputation for serving up excellent seafood and wine (sounds good to us!). However, it's not all about the evening indulgence here - they're also open for brekkie, lunch. On their menu you'll find tasty Italian dishes from focaccias, freshly sliced prosciutto, pollo blanco, pastas and pizzas. For a place that ticks all the boxes try Café Va Bene.

Best Dish: Italian: virginian Ham, salami, fresh capsicum, mushrooms and olives.
