Have always loved this restaurant Waiters fun & prompt. Food fantasic. Restaurant way to noisy to enjoy conversation! Maybe quieter at lunchtime Sadly won’t rush back.

It felt just like Italy! We were welcomed by 2 enthusiastic Italian men and seated quickly. It did take a few minutes before we were offered menus but that was fine as we were able to sit back and take in the view of posters and other Italian memorabilia. The menu is very pricey so I expected big things. We had a pasta with Morton bay bugs and gnocchi. The gnocchi was melt in your mouth delish! The pasta not so much. The bugs were over powered by the sauce. It was my friends birthday and when I made the booking they said the would pop a candle on the desert we order as a surprise but it never happened which was disappointing. It was a nice night over all.

Consistent quality in food and service. Great atmosphere and mood. Only downside is a slightly overpriced bill.

I could not believe that we had not been to Caffe E Cucina in the 31 years it has been going! The food, service and ambience were excellent. I took my 94 year old father who did struggle with the level of noise so next time I will request the quietest table in the restaurant! We will be back!

Excellent food and service! If I had to fault something, I was a bit underwhelmed by the dessert menu. The whole menu had a wow factor except for the dessert.

The restaurant was very noisy - they didn’t need the music as well as the customer noise levels. An exciting vibe throughout the restaurant - great feel for a Saturday night.

An absolute institution. Great vibe from the moment you walk into the restaurant, it feels like you've been transported to Italy. Great quality dishes, definitely on the pricey side but the quality of food and service matches the price. Grazie!

The most delicious linguine marina we’ve ever had! The beef carpaccio was also delicious. Staff were awesome. It was a wonderful night.

Never get tired of the seafood linguine in the paperbag. Also accommodating of those on a GF diet which is super special for an Italian restaurant.

Food a la Mode

Step inside this cosy and unassuming restaurant and you’ll find yourself in a fine diner’s dream. What looks like a modest little cafe from the outside becomes a subtle and refined wonderland on the inside. Caffe e Cucina has been around since the late 80s and is modelled on the romantic cafes of the famous Italian regions of Milan, Bologna and Rome. The low-lit dining room with its intimate two-seater tables and 20th century Euro art is just the place to take your sweetheart for a special night out. Caffe E Cucina even has a secluded balcony available for those who want to spend a little extra for a magical experience. Not only does this place ooze romance, the food, too, gives you the experience of love. Their carefully devised menu covers savoury antipasto starters, creamy and comforting pasta dishes and some spectacular mains. Whether you’re bringing your partner for a romantic dinner for two or coming for an elegant lunch with friends, Caffe e Cucina will make your experience a special one.

Best dish: voglia de mare (Mediterranean-style fish of the day)
