Very welcoming and the food dishes were plentiful and very tasty. I booked for four people when it should've been five, but the problem was dealt with efficiently and the extra person was accommodated with ease without any fuss. A bit of noise emanated from the upstairs bar, but we knew that before we booked. Will definitely be back.
The restaurant is a little rundown. There was no soap, toilet paper, menus were dirty, glasses were dirty, they forgot our entree, I had to ask for water and more drinks every tome then they forgot we had a fork discount. No dessert was offered. The people were lovely but unfortunately average experience
It was good
Service was great. I could not justify spending full price for the food on menu. However although I got 50% discount through this amazing app I wouldn't return not unless there's a deal. Menus pretty pricy for what u get.
Very nice food with large portions but service was lacklustre
Staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was good not spectacular and reasonably priced. My quail dish was a little disappointing but partners beef tenderloin was good.
Service was friendly and pleasant food was great and nice the only thing was that the music was to loud and you could not talk when more customers came it was very loud
Once again excellent value for money when booking through The Fork! Great meals - My boyfriend loved the beef & there were plenty of veg options for me to choose from as well - I went with the gnocchi which was delicious. My only complaint was that it was pretty loud in the restaurant but there were a few large groups in when we dined.
Food was delicious (watch out for the huge servings..!) Really great atmosphere for a casual dinner and drink with friends or colleagues.
The food was really delicious and the service was prompt and attentive! Had really good conversations with our waitresses and it overall added to the positive experience!
Good service. Good location. Food was decent. The croquettes were really good.
Service was great, people were nice hence the 5 stars for service but 3/5 for the atmosphere because there was a stench (i'm not quite sure what smell it was) around where we were seated. Food wise, the arancini balls were good, margherita pizza was okay but the seafood marinara was so fishy we couldn't eat, but the waiter was kind enough to cancel that order. One feedback if I may......this is not a complaint, it's just a feedback I've been wanting to provide to a lot of restaurants. I understand that the waitress change our cutlery and plates after entree so we could have clean and fresh plates for our mains. But our napkins were fine and clean, I don't see a point of providing extra/new ones as well. The napkins were thick and most people would barely even use much of it throughout their whole course there. I didn't even mind reusing the cutlery and plates to be honest to reduce water consumption and waste. Just a thought if all restaurants can do a little bit, it will help reduce a lot of waste. Maybe ask the customers if they want everything changed before doing it next time? You might be surprised some people would say it's fine. Thank you.
Really good food, we had the share board, chicken pasta and steak. Really good quality food, service was lacking. Wait staff slow to approach everytime
this is the secons time we have been, campari house is a hidden gem in hardware lane food is amazing. there is also a rooftop bar that is a must visit!!!
the pizza was absolutly amazing!! they make their own pizza dough. the pasta marinara is to die for.
The drinks we wanted to order were not available and we didn’t ask for anything fancy. None of the beers on tab, no Shiraz, no apple cider. We got charged a cider which we didn’t have. The Food was okay but the overall experience not that good
Yummy food, nice service
Would definitely go again! Very busy for a Tuesday night. Hats off to the two waitpersons who handled it perfectly. Enjoyed the food thoroughly!
Arrived early and had a drink on the roof bar up a few flights of stairs. Happy hour and a lovely space on a lovely evening. Staff were friendly and the food was great. Enjoyed our evening, will be back.
Campari house has seen much better days. The décor is very tired and badly needs a refit. The staff are friendly but otherwise average and the food quality poor. The spice dusted calamari was limp and tasteless. I use to really like the place although I have not eaten there for many years as I'm at the other end of town. Sad how it has declined.

Levels of fun
This multi-storied bar and restaurant, located down Melbourne’s iconic Hardware Lane, captures what dining out is all about - a fun experience that should be shared with friends and family. Head to the lofty roof-top bar for a few cheeky bevs where you’ll find funky artwork, wine barrel stands and umbrellas for a spot of shade. Or check out the lounge on the second floor before settling in for a bite to eat in the ground floor restaurant. In the restaurant you’ll find an all day Italian-inspired menu that can be enjoyed at breakfast, lunch or dinner. Opt to share with friends - there are plenty of small plates such as taleggio and leek arancini or local calamari - or hoard a bigger plate all to yourself. For an after-work drink, a group dinner or a romantic date, Campari House in Melbourne’s CBD provides four levels of fun to choose from. Where will you start?
