lovely food and kind owner! He will make you feel comfortable no matter if your dish is not available on the day.

A delightful local Italian restaurant. A step up from its local competition. Wine is a little pricy but good quality. Certainly couldn't complain about the food - magic

This is our favourite restaurant in Sydney. The food is always superb and the service is fantastic. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Very accommodating re my dietary requirements; service was friendly & efficient. The food was a cut above average both in terms of flavour and presentation. The vodka oysters were to die for! My only complaint is the lack of a house rose wine, & only having one rose (which I didn’t love) available by the glass.

Food was not very tasty. Especially the Squid Ink pasta, which was too spicy and quite bland. Service was okay but could have been more accurate and attentive

The food was all delicious, we shared every plate (eggplant parmigiana, spinach ravioli, baked broccoli, rocket & pear salad with the oysters and bug salad). The waitress was spot on with how many plates the 5 of us should share. 40% off made it all very affordable, even with spending the $5 per person on drinks. Great lunch!

Loved it! Went with the family to celebrate Mother’s Day and while they were very busy, the service was excellent. My boys were a little disappointed that an Italian restaurant with a woodfire oven did not serve pizzas! However, they got to try a lot of new dishes that they otherwise would not – and they really enjoyed the food! Highly recommend this delightful restaurant.

Food is good, hand made pastas are brilliant. Service is a bit lacking and we waited for awhile for our empty plates to be taken away and had to ask for the desert menu.

About Capriccio Osteria

leichhardts capriccio osteria bar introduces new menu plus all day dining sydney

Right at home in Leichhardt Nicknamed as ‘Little Italy’, Leichhardt is bursting with Italian osterias, making Capriccio right at home. Capriccio has embraced the spirit of an old style osteria in a modern space with a modern approach to Italian classics. At its core Capriccio is authentic Italian flavours, with a fun, modern twist. The menu is small but well thought out, with dishes that are true to the season, all designed to share. Michele Rispoli, a third generation restaurateurs brings to Leichhardt casual, modern Italian food at its best, courtesy of their vision and the skills of head chef Nicole Bampton (ex Lucios, Tetsuyas). The restaurant sits inside a newly renovated space that's bright and welcoming. Sit in the bar area with high tables and comfortable stools, in the sunny garden courtyard, which can also be used in winter thanks to the retractable canvas roof, out on Norton street or upstairs in the dining room that can cater for groups of all sizes. The crockery used here adds a further Italian touch, with colourful ceramics imported exclusively for Capriccio from Vietri sul Mare, the home of ceramics on the Amalfi coast.
