Really delicious modern Italian food. Have been several times and the quality is always very high. Recommend the octopus dish. All the pastas are excellent too.

Booked through Fork, online there seemed to be plenty of bookings available. However once we arrived we were basically not greeted well, advised that we made a last minute booking and they are fully booked and offered us a table at the bar, which was not a proper table, the staff were constantly at the bar, bumping into us, touching our cutlery with other people’s Bill/booklet the bar itself was not even clean. We eventually were able to be move reluctantly to an outside table which was a bit better. The food was ok but atmosphere was not there. Felt like because we booked via an app that we were pushed down ‘the list’ however if this is the case unsure why you would participate in The Fork system if you are busy enough with your regular customers.

We ordered woodfire pizza and handmade pasta. The paste was amazing and chewy. The woodfire pizza is ok, not the best that I have tried in Sydney. Overall, the foods are good and worth to go especially with the 30% discount if you book through TheFork.

Really enjoyed the food at this little Italian joint. We ordered the squid ink spaghetti and ragu rigatoni and both were delicious and authentic.

Loved the pasta dishes. We shared a few between friends and it was great to try them all. The desserts were delicious too, especially the Creme Brulee. Service was excellent - we were served by two very nice staff.

Great little Italian restaurant serving interesting pastas and wood fire pizzas. Nice outside street terrace for those who like my friend and I like to seat outside. Warm reception, efficient and friendly wait staff. The liver pate is a must as is the rocket salad - a mix of pear, rocket and fennel. Love the house wine served Italian style in a lovely ceramic jug. Has become a firm favourite when in Leichhardt. Will definitely be back again.

Main meal was really good especially the squid ink pasta with crab.. the dessert we had (creme caramel brûlée) was a little disappointing. The custard wasn’t great (not set properly). Service was great. Will definitely go back again

About the restaurant

Located in the Italian central of Sydney on Norton Street, Capriccio focusses on modern Italian while sticking to typical Italian flavours. Using their woodfire oven for anything and everything, from paninis, to vegetables and porchetta. On a nice day, sit outside and watch the world go by (with a spritz in hand, of course) or tuck into something filling when dinner rolls around. Oh, and take a moment to admire the beautiful crockery - they're hand painted and imported from Italy. Gorgeous! -
