The setting for this restaurant in a beautiful old Madeiran house is truly charming and undoubtedly enhances the evening’s experience.Cooking is very competent and our confit duck was delicious and although the mashed potato was a bit on the lukewarm side the other vegetables were well cooked and crunchy.The creme caramel was nicely caramelised and the red house wine mellow and very drinkable.

Although the Fork booking hadn’t been received by the restuarant we were graciously received and got a great table on the open roof area. Our meal was superb and the service was excellent

A lovely restaurant with friendly service and generally excellent food. We had great food and service. What disappointed us was that the dishes were not consistently good (excellent) over 2 nites and that smoking was allowed

Fantastic restaurant with excellent food & friendly staff.

We were a party of four. Showed up 20 mins early. They were very welcoming took us to our table right away. The service and good was high quality. Dessert Ed great too. Highly recommended. All four of us saída it was one of the best meals we had!!

Last night here of 9 nights. This was our favorite dinner. Exceptional and friendly service. Compliments from chef. Three separate waiters. Beautiful and relaxing setting. Deliciouso. They even told me my Portuguese was good pronunciation. Also only 2 minute walk from Pestana Casino Hotel. When I go back to Madeira I will definitely make a point to eat here again.

it is 4 years since our last visit and it is still just as good . The lamb was excellent

This restaurant was recommended by a neighbo re and when I return home will thank him as it was a fantastic evening. The welcome was warm, the food and wine excellent and the bill very reasonable. We will make it our first call on returning to Madeira.

High standard of service. Good quality food. Sat outside on terrace where it is very pleasant, despite having no view of the sea. This is a reliably good restaurant.

This restaurant is a fine example of excellence. The staff were immaculate in pristine uniforms; they were courteous and never rushed us. We would have no hesitation in recommending people to try it.
