We were beautifully greeted as soon as we walked in by the receptionist/concierge and taken directly to our table. A great vibe too
Service was excellent, friendly and attentive. Most of the dishes were very good, the pizza is beautiful and the linguini marinara was superb. The only disappointing part was the creme brulee,it was very runny, even the replacement one provided was the same. Would definitely come again.
Friendly service but restaurant now lacks the hum it used to have. Pizzas are better than the pastas. Still good locations for functions and events
Even more under recent news ownership the food is still consistently good and service is great. Calamari fritti... YUM. Pizzas delicious! Kids menu great choices Service ready and unobtrusive. Great place for our family to enjoy
The overall experience is good. We will go back again next time when we see the special offer is available. We Will recommend to our friends. Good!
The taste of the food was good, presentation not sophisticated, more like rustic, homestyle cooking, when you taste it you are pleasantly surprised and satisfied. Would return to try more dishes, yes. New owners doing a good job, if they maintain current standards
Service was fine, unfortunately I had my meal about 10 minutes before my husband got his. I ordered the creamy carbonara but unfortunately the cream had split and it wasn’t very nice. My husband did enjoy his meal. New owners, limited menu and staff appeared rushed.
The restaurant seemed rather disorganised, cocktails on the menu were not available, mains didn't come out at the same time. Birthday cake was produced whilst still eating main course. Bill could not be paid at the table. Had to flag down a waitress to order coffee....staff pleasant. Owners need to review stocking and service.
Food was ok but the portion of pasta and entree were small (pizza was good).
Haven't been for a while since it changed hands as many of our favourites under the previous owners were no longer available, in particular the unbeatable tiramisu in its then form. The 50% off food offer tempted us on the spur of the moment to give it another go. My wife and I had the spatchcock which was very succulent. Limited main course selection for those who don't desire pizza and pasta. No issue with substituting accompaniments. Friendly, efficient and friendly service.
The welcome at Cavallino was warm and professional. The restaurant is attractive, but very noisy - it is large and voices echo. The service was average. Our waitress kept coming to the table and at no point did she wait for conversation to cease or to say 'excuse me', she just spoke. The main course was slow to come and one of the pasta dishes was only average. The spatchcock was good, the risotto was quite nice but needed extra salt, pepper and the addition of parmesan to bring up the flavour. On the website, pasta dishes were advertised to be priced at $19 but when we enquired, the waitress told us that the information was in the process of being updated and this was not the case. No offer was made in recognition of this fact. We don't think we will be returning.
We really enjoyed our evening at Cavallino Ristorante. The service is warm, friendly and attentive. The delicious meals are fresh and generous in size. The spatchcock was cooked juicy and moist with crisp potatoes; the divine crème brûlée was the perfect end to a lovely meal. There is a nice selection of starters, mains, pastas, wood-fired pizzas and sides, including gluten-free options. Excellent value and looking forward to coming back next time with our friends!
This is my first time at this Italian restaurant. Staff were wonderful the food was good. Especially the pizza, the aranchini balls and the afagato. They cater well for a 10 person group
Food remains very good.
Continues to be a great area restaurant under new management. Food is authentic, generous, and service is warm and attentive.
Food is well cooked and tasty. Generous in portions and simply presented with no pretension. Service is attentive and friendly, in a nice venue. All the best to the new management.
Enjoyed our dinner very much. We'll definitely be back again soon.
The food was great, service was too. We'll be back.
Such a lovely venue, so unfortunate that the food is really poor and very limited choice. You can only beg that it improves as it has the foundations of a really brilliant restaurant. Currently I would NEVER return as even at half price food it was and expensive disaster of a meal.
Love that we have such a wonderful local restaurant. Food was delicious. Wine list very good. No complaints about our service. ??????????
