Fabulous
A great few days for restaurants with Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day over a 3 day period. We avoided the rush by dining the Monday after and ordered our dishes off the Chinese New Year special menu except for our favourite entree which was the Chilli & Basil Mussels. All the dishes were great with my favourite being the Wagyu Sirloin in Terriyaki & Mustard sauce with zucchini, mushrooms and capsicum. I hope this dishes will be added to the regular menu. My only gripe was the Scallop on Tofu dish was served with long strands of fine vermicelli noodles only came out with a serving spoon. Good luck being able to help yourself to the noodles! ???? Delicious food, attentive waitresses and timely serving of dishes made it a great night.
The staff were lovely and the food amazing. It was well priced too for a nice quiet dinner out. Will be going again. ............................
Service was good. Vegetables in the dishes were crisp and tasty. But the sauces in all of the dishes tasted similar. This is probably a case of personal preference and menu choice but I don't feel the food measured up to the reviews I read. Probably won't return.
Probably one of the worst meals we have experienced at a Chinese restaurant. The pork ribs were deep fried, overcooked, fatty, and were accompanied by no sauces or sides whatsoever. They looked like leftovers, not worth $20 plus dollars. The combination omelet was $26 of overpriced overcooked eggs that was poor value. And to top it off, when we requested fried ice cream and were told it can be done, we were presented with the worst example we have ever had in quality and size, and then to top it off, were charged $8:50 each! The most expensive ever. Very disappointing, and we found it hard to fathom that you could even attempt to serve that quality of food. Ironically the service was good which left us puzzled! Thankfully we got 30% off with the fork otherwise paying full price for overpriced substandard food would have been hard to swallow.
We were very grateful for outstanding service by China Tea, even on short notice. The diced eggplant & chicken breast was fantastic. Highly recommend this place.
Banquet provided good selections and the price after discount was terrific value. We will all be back.
Excellent food and service ... always!!!
The food is always cooked so delicately and taste perfectly balanced and refined. Very delicious.
The dishes prepared are refined and delicious.
The food was great and service was fantastic. A lovely evening celebrating my Mum’s 80th Birthday.
Wonderful service, very attentive. Yummy food, I recommend ordering a couple of dishes to share. The Peking duck was good, I have the calamari with hot rock salt each time I dine there, and my husband gets a dish specially made for him - very accommodating.
Very quick and friendly service. The restaurant prepared a dish that wasn't on the menu for my husband - and it was very tasty. The entrees are a bit pricey but the mains are well sized. I recommend this restaurant.
China Tea Club is where we traditionally have a dinner on New Year's Eve. Despite most of the tables being occupied, we were attended to promptly and courteously by the two waitresses on duty, however a smile or two would have rounded off the service. The dishes we ordered were served promptly and was delicious, however we were bemused when the Hokkien noodles we had ordered was delivered with only one serving spoon. Luckily, a spare pair of chopsticks was available to assist. Overall, a good night out, and everyone at our table was happy with the dishes ordered.
Very tasty and fresh food with many gluten free options. We had coral trout and salt and pepper squid, both were excellent. Very efficient and helpful service.
Good service. Reasonably priced food.
Service was good. Seating a little close for Covid situation. Pork belly was unimpressive and deep fried ice cream disappointing as it was made in advance and lacked freshness.
Very welcoming on arrival. Always excellent food, minimal fuss when ordering and will alter some dishes if asked, nothing too much trouble. Lovely staff.
Great food. Friendly and fast service. Good range of menu options. Wine list was suitable. Will definitely return to this restaurant for more group booking as.
Very quiet, but pleasant lunch in the middle of a pandemic - businesses like this need our support - hope this one survives
Always fantastic. Great service and very yummy food, thank you! Will definitely return for another great meal and lots of parking which makes it even better.

Seafood is the focus of this Canberra institution as well as detailed attention to every dish that is presented. The decor is sophisticated, the menu changes regularly, as well as vegetarians being well catered for. It's your perfect mid-week meal!
