Chong & Co is a very nice restaurant. Food is excellent and the service and atmosphere are good too. I have never had a bad meal here before but allow enough time to enjoy the food and not rush. The menu is large so should have something for everyone. In these difficult times of social distancing, I felt they did a good job of making us feel comfortable and safe.
2 levels flavours, missing of character. What put me out is pieces of meat 10 cm/7cm half sliced to eat with fork and spoon or chopsticks. That just prove a lack of attention given to the main thing that is the food. Not a bad experience but I won't invite 8 other people there for a feast.
Food was delicious, all the staff were friendly and attentive, super fast. The only downfall would be the noise inside is quite intense but other than that great place!
Excellent food and the service outstanding. We had a birthday celebration for my elderly mother and the staff were simply wonderful with her. We brought our own birthday cake and they were delighted for us to have the cake and no additional charge. Could not have asked for more
Meals were beautiful! Service was great. Place was just a bit noisy.
Still our favourite restaurant in Canberra. First time we've been there since the extension, which has cut down the noise and improved the ambience.
great fresh food wonderful service as always. my guests were ftom out of town and loved it. only problem is the noise level ...it's too loud to have good conversation.
Lovely food and awesome staff. The only let down is the poor acoustics-the volume of noise is too high to be comfortable. We needed to shout at each other to have a conversation.
The meal was very nice and three other people with me were very happy with the quality. The reason I have given a lower score is that I have reactions to certain foods and I called the restaurant in advance to ask if the tofu in the vegetarian meal is fried or fresh and was advised it would be fresh. When served, the only way that it came was fried and I tried one piece, as I cannot have oil. Although it wasn't oily, I couldn't eat it as it was so rubbery!! My vegetables were nice but I was disappointed that, as a vegan, there was no other option for protein with my meal.
Worst meal I have had there. My friend green curry salmon was so hot with way too much ginger and I had the black pepper soft shell crab and it was oily and cold. We ordered 2 drinks and got served one. Robe for 2 was rice for one. Worst service I have ever had and I have eaten there a lot over the years. Seriously thinking about never going back joined with the last takeaway I had was below sub standard also. I think two misses in a row is enough for me.
The Chong Co has never disappointed. I have eaten here several times and on each occasion the food and service have left nothing to be desired. Our last booking was a very busy Friday night and service was very quick. The staff are very friendly.
The fork does not handle bookings greater than 10 guests which was a pain...
Depending on what dishes you have, your experience can be different. The food can be oily and salty for stir fried dishes but the grill dishes are good.
It was a good thing we made a reservation, as it was very busy! Great food!
Massaman curry beef meat almost impossible to eat - stringy and tough - sauce/gravy very nice
Nice dinner, cooked quickly
My meal was forgotten and by the time I had checked on it and it was Hastily cooked, the others at the table were finishing their meals. My meal was very hot(temperature) but not cooked properly due to it being rushed. It was very difficult to get your staff to notice us asking for attention, they regularly looked away when they saw a hand raised, very poor service. Lastly, I would like to see something done about the noise, it seems that any conversations are magnified throughout the room and every table finds it hard to hear each other due to the noise from the rest of the room.
Great feed, always impressed
10/10. Will come again
Great restaurant with good food and wonderful service.

Chong Co Thai Restaurant group has made a significant mark in the Nation’s capital, with four venues dotted throughout the city. Its success is bolstered in each venues copious attention to detail and the innovative and exciting menu which features bright and exciting Thai flavours.
We love the Tom Yum Goong: a herbal hot and sour broth that is ideal for spice lovers. They also do a yummy Pad Thai which comes with fresh bean sprouts and crushed peanuts. Get to their Belconnen location with your friends and family and enjoy a feast of delicious Thai treats.
Best dish: duck basil stirfry.
