Meet the Chef

Bryan started his apprenticeship at 17 with the River Seafood Grill restaurant in Southgate, then finished his apprenticeship at Walters Wine Bar with renowned chef Ryan Clift. Following that he worked at the Stokehouse upstairs for the period they had two hats. He did a brief stint at St Andrews in Brighton before taking the helm as head chef at A la Greque where he spent three years before extensively travelling Europe on a gastronomic tour for 18 months before opening Ciao Cielo, 8 years ago.

Lovely open fire. Creative Italian food. Really nice decor and ambiance. Slightly pricey. Enjoyed the afternoon where we took our time and weren’t hurried along. Worth a try

Beautiful food in every single details in a cosy warm restaurant. What else you’d ask for in a wet winter afternoon? Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Such a beautiful restaurant. It just needed some music, however, to help make the atmosphere even better. (Perhaps there was music but it was too quiet to hear if so.)

Consistently wonderful meal. Truffled potatoes are always a must. A little noisy in the main dining area but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Great staff & service,

The actual restaurant is noise the voices bounce from one wall to the other you need to muffle the sound, the service was a bit slow it got better as the night progressed, the food was eccellente our spaghetti with blue crabs was delicious , the goat leg was undiscribable delicious we will definitley come again and again

Didn't like the seating arrangements being shoulder to shoulder with other diners in a tight booth type configuration. People right beside us were having a conversation that we didn't want to necessarily hear. Wont be back.

I had seen this restaurant advertised on Postcards and was keen to try it. Honestly I was so impressed with everything that it had to offer, ambience, food, service. Thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it ..
