We have always enjoyed the food at Cinnamon. Onion bahji was a bit tough last night however. They also need to review presentation. The menu and wine list very tattered and scrappy. Not great especially considering the location. Does lack atmosphere. Perhaps they should market themselves a bit better. There were only 4 of us in the whole place for the first hour, which is our usual experience. Saturday night should be buzzing!!
Very enjoyable evening, good service and excellent food. Some of the best Indian I've had. The quantities were larger than I thought they would be and generous proportioned side dishes. Excellent Naan bread!
very pleasant atmosphere and staff didn't push us out even tho we were the last to leave
Great food at reasonable prices
Great food, fantastic service
Samosa entree was delicious as were our mains. Loved the lamb rogan josh and coconut rice. Naan bread was hot and fresh. Service was polite, friendly and obliging.
Was a lovely dining experience
We had a table with a pronounced wobble, we pointed this out to the staff who said, "it won't wobble as much with the food on it." the drinks did splash a few times with glasses full and it was disconcerting for the table to keep doing that throughout the meal. This was not a cheap night out, the least that should have happened is that we be seated else where as clearly there were other tables empty we could have sat at.
Food is well below average. Completely stale and no taste at all. Only good thing about this restaurant is its ambience, however once u have your meal everything fades off.
A pleasant place to eat with friendly service. They were unable to supply some of the wines and food items listed on the menu but were able to suggest worthy alternatives....would go again!Great value for money!
Excellent Indian cuisine
Good, tasty and well presented food. Good value for 1 entrees and 2 mains + rice and bread. Very clean dining area and amenities. Friendly, knowledgeable and prompt wait staff. This review based on dining for two: early Sunday evening; no alcoholic drinks or desserts ordered; selected mild for main dishes.
beautiful setting, great service, excellent food. Have dined there twice in the last fortnight, once in a large group and once with a friend. Would recommend it for either. Excellent value for money too.
The best Indian food so far in Australia, authentic tasting butter chicken & Dal makhni-
The service was amateurish for the location of the restaurant. Whether or not it is connected to Maq1 the location connects the two and this brings Mac1 down considerably. The waiting staff did not the basics. We ordered a bottle of champagne and this was poured and then left on the table - no ice bucket to keep it cool. This came much later. The food was average with no flavours or suprises to note. The décor is nice and modern. The only thing worth noting.
The taste was not authentic Indian food.
Very very good service and food
The food was overall great. Standard dishes like Korma were authentic and produced with care and lots of flavors. Kulfi (ice cream) shows some creativity. The atmosphere was great too. Our table was by a large window through which you can see a harbor in the evening. The service was a bit of a problem. Everyone was nice and polite, but it was very slow. From arrival to when start eating, it took more than 40 mins which was a bit too much for our small children. A bit pricey but given the location and quality it's well justified.
Orders were mucked up served a dish I did not order and didn’t receive something that I did order. Wine list was quite limited and no coffee or tea available. Disappointing.
