If it weren’t for the food we’d have walked out. The bistro is a table & stools in the bar & we were surrounded by noisy groups of revellers. We were sitting on top of each other as the elevated bar table were jammed in under the large pull down projector screen. A very disappointing & uncomfortable dining experience overall...except for the food.

Different menu to what's shown online. Good for sharing dishes. Crispy potatoes were delicious. Wrapped Feta a bit too heavy as it was a whole block wrapped in filo rather than 'fries'

The service is good and prompt. The staff are helpful and courteous. Noise level can be a high and annoyed during sport match on the big screen. Sunday evening is my favourite place to have a glass of wine and meal by the window watching the crowd on the street.

Definitely my favourite go to "Lamb" dinner. The Lamb Shoulder is absolutely amazing and when you think you're nearly finished there's more ... it's delicious.

I enjoyed being at the Civic Hotel except that I was extremely uncomfortable on the high stools. There were no alternatives other than perching on top of an uncomfortable stool. The lower half of my entire body was numb after the first five minutes, and we were there for an hour and a half. I could have cried. Doesn't matter how good the food or service, I was almost crying in pain.

For a group of 18 we were served within 10 minutes of ordering and the place was packed. Service is always friendly and quick. The lamb is always just amazing and definitely a favourite.

Good. A bigger wine list would have been good

We had a business lunch with a client there. The food was great and there are many choices of beer on tab. One of the great clubs in CBD.

Good pub food in a pub environment. Portions are generous but a little on the pricey end. Recommended for a quick lunch.

Had a booking, but bar staff went to the table and people were sitting there so didn't move them so we had to stand. Pretty poor on behalf of the staff. It was great atmosphere for the World Cup.

The food was good and considered high quality in the pub/bar food category in the CBD area. I note that there is no table service and need to order from the counter which is okay. During busy hours, I recommend ordering earlier to avoid a long queue.

Friday night at The Civic is LOUD. It was very hard to hear each other, but we did enjoy our meal.
