Food is out standing, service is warm & friendly, very nice place
Nice and interesting vibe, the waiters were very warm and welcoming throughout the meal, although it did take quite some time for the bill as we were in a rush.
Food was awesome, simple yet sophisticated French cuisine. Cosy and intimate setting, catering to couples for a romantic dinner out or to groups for a lively outing.
This is the 4th or 5th time that we have eaten here and the food is excellent and I love the array of wine by the carafe. The service was just slightly ‘off’ on the night (drinks slow to arrive etc) but very minor and I must say out of character in our experience but overall it was another lovely evening at this excellent restaurant.
Good service nice ambience
Claire’s kitchen is a bit on the pricey side but it makes up for it with a genuine French ambience ,genuine French service and a genuine French menu .The duck pie was superb with excellent pastry and an original taste.,the snapper was beautifully cooked and the cheese soufflé.was the best I’ve had.It was good to see carafes available on the wine list.
Great French food served by wonderfully hospitable staff in a beautifully decorated venue. A fantastic place to catch-up with friends who were in from the US and loved the entire experience. Thank you to the whole team at Claire’s Kitchen.
Excellent meal with excellent service. Great to find a wonderful restaurant where you’re not turfed out 1 and a half hours after you arrive. Also great to be able to hear yourself talk. All in all a great experience and a place we’ll be returning to in the future!!
Always an amazing meal and best service around. Great food and wine selection. Cocktail on arrival always a great start. Best French restaurant in Sydney.
A very pleasant evening with good service and lovely food. It is no wonder why Claire’s Kitchen is on our list of favourite restaurants whenever we visit Sydney.
For entree we ordered half a dozen escargot, fried zucchini flowers and beef tartare. The escargot was buttery and garlicky, we could've easily ordered a dozen. The fried zucchini flowers from the specials were crunchy and was balanced with the addition of cheese. The steak tartare was creamy with some mustard/horseradish, it had a nice spicy/sour note which went well with the creaminess. For mains we had the duck pie and Moroccan lamb pastry. The duck pie was very rich with a good sauce. Note, it would've been better with a side of salad or something similar to cut the richness and meatiness of the pie. The lamb pastry was beautifully balanced with a serving of couscous mixed in with pomegranate, figs and pistachios. All in all, a good French restaurant with good service. We went at 6:30pm and food came out quite quickly.
Nice service and food
The dishes were generously portioned and the truffle mash was to die for. The dishes were extremely tasty and reminiscent of the food my partner and I had in France a few years ago. Would recommend coming back if you enjoy good quality French food.
Food is authentic and amazing. We had a really good time
We really like this restaurant. The staff are very welcoming and the service are superb. We were impressed with the atmosphere and the presentation too. We will definitely come back.
The setting and décor was simply beautiful. liked how everyone who worked there is French which made the experience even more authentic. service was top notch. the only less positive i would add would be it could get really loud and affect the find dining experience and some of the food was not the best tasting eg: onion soup. other than that, an overall great experience which we will still be back for
Although the look from outside looks really tacky, the design and atmosphere inside is lovely and the place looks stylish and gorgeous! It has lovely atmosphere and we bumped into a guy who goes there quite often and tried most of the dishes. We went during Christmas period and they had lovely decorations and Christmas tree :) French cuisine, lovely wine and food is delicious. Staff are very friendly and can advise you on the dishes. Afterwards they bring out a huge desert dish to your table for you to choose a desert ????????????
Delicious and great selection!
Food was great,, but service average..., waiter could not pour a bottle of wine... kept waiting for a dessert menu,,, glasses of water empty all the time ... expecting better got the prices we pay ...
A great restaurant in all respects, excellent staff and outstanding food in a relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely go again. Thanks for a great night.

Claire’s Kitchen at Le Salon
A star of the kitchen as well as the stage, former TV chef Marc Kuzma (aka Claire de Lune) lets his talents shine at his Darlinghurst venture, Claire’s Kitchen at Le Salon. Step through the doors from Oxford Street, and enter a world of glamour, decadence and French chic. Soaring ceilings, imported wallpapers, glittering chandeliers, white linen, black Louis XV chairs and French antiques will make you feel like you’re world’s away from the chaos of the bustling street outside. Oh oui, nous aimons que….(we love that!). Charming French waiters warmly welcome patrons at Claire’ and the brasserie classics with contemporary touches are done with true French finesse. The double baked three cheese soufflé or blue eye trevalla fillet served with crab bisque and spinach dumpling should be ordered immediately upon arrival and you should seriously consider finishing with something sweet from the dessert trolley followed by a fine French wine or Claire de Lune cocktail in the mezzanine bar. It’s French chic at its best.
Best dish: double baked three cheese soufflé
