Excellent
Great service, great food, great choice, great ambiance - fine dining at it's best. Will try it on a week day next time to see the in house show. Got to experience at least once!
Excellent food and drinks menu, attentive waiters, stylish decor and great value (3 course for $85) Had a wonderful evening there. Will be returning to try different dishes.
All the food was amazing, with the steak tartare and creme brulee being absolute standouts. We struggled to choose what to order because the whole menu looked so good. We went on a Saturday night at the 8.30 pm seating, the restaurant was busy, but the service was great, we didn't feel rushed. We will definitely be returning to try the other options on the menu (although I will definitely be having the creme brulee again!)
Excellent food - the French onion soup was divine and so was the gruyere cheese crouton! We enjoyed our mains (chicken and duck and red wine pie) but it was a shame the rice was undercooked. Great service and food otherwise, it's always a pleasure dining here.
A really wonderful evening
Delicious food, exceptional service, very charming french atmosphere. Loved the fact that waiters were speaking French between each other ????
Amazing wait staff and food was ????????????????
We came for my mum’s birthday and street appeal, you don’t think much... and then you walk inside! Atmosphere was beautiful! So French, decadent, bold and yet understated. Our servers were brilliant! When looking at reviews, we read about them and they made the evening what it was! Knowledgable, present but not hovering! Perfect. The steak tartare was a must have! As was the parfait for entree and the duck pie was rich and flavourful! A truly wonderful evening and would definately return! Merci beaucoup Claire’s! C’etait merveilleux!
Amazingly romantic spot with amazing food, friendly staff, and all the bread you can eat. Ambience on point - this place is perfect for anniversaries or a little something special.
This famous restaurant offers great French food, very delicious. There was a singer inside the restaurant and the ambience is romantic and entertaining.
The customer service was excellent and the food was really good, a small mistake was made but the waiter well and truly made up for it to make sure we had a happy night. My partner and i are very happy with the place and we’re definitely going back!
Tasty dishes and great service
Wonderful food, Fabulous service. Covid Safe. So much attention to the little things that make a restaurant experience really great. A little gem in Sydney. We had another great evening at Claire's, I highly recommend this restaurant to all.
Love the duck pie and the service was excellent
Excellent service and beautifully presented and delicious food. It was an enjoyable evening. Only negative would be that serving sizes are a little on the small side for the price you pay.
Classic French food.
The food is always outstanding, the steak tartare is a standout for me. The professional yet warm service is what always has us coming back for more. 5 star service without the uptight attitude.
The most consistently good restaurant in Sydney. Friendly, efficient service supporting well-delivered French classics. Good selection of French wines at all price points. Always a pleasure to bring the experience to friends who have never been.
I will be be back to try the duck pie. It looked AMAZING. The service was faultless. We felt very well looked after. Can’t wait to return to Claire’s
Great service, great atmosphere and friendly assistive staff. We had a fantastic beef tartare, you should definitely go for it, best tartare I got outside of Europe.

Claire’s Kitchen at Le Salon
A star of the kitchen as well as the stage, former TV chef Marc Kuzma (aka Claire de Lune) lets his talents shine at his Darlinghurst venture, Claire’s Kitchen at Le Salon. Step through the doors from Oxford Street, and enter a world of glamour, decadence and French chic. Soaring ceilings, imported wallpapers, glittering chandeliers, white linen, black Louis XV chairs and French antiques will make you feel like you’re world’s away from the chaos of the bustling street outside. Oh oui, nous aimons que….(we love that!). Charming French waiters warmly welcome patrons at Claire’ and the brasserie classics with contemporary touches are done with true French finesse. The double baked three cheese soufflé or blue eye trevalla fillet served with crab bisque and spinach dumpling should be ordered immediately upon arrival and you should seriously consider finishing with something sweet from the dessert trolley followed by a fine French wine or Claire de Lune cocktail in the mezzanine bar. It’s French chic at its best.
Best dish: double baked three cheese soufflé
