Compared to the last time we had lunch it was a bit ordinary. My lunch was a roast, the meat was not cooked enough and not much on the plate. It was also nearly cold. My husbands meal was quite small and he left feeling hungry. The fire went out and no one bothered to turn it back on when we asked.

Nice place, great decor. Considering it was Father’s Day lunch they could have been a bit more organised, slow service. It felt like they were under pressure

About Clarendon Arms

The Clarendon is a beautiful cosy bar that's perfect for a few cosy quiet ones and a delicious family meal. The decor is old school and extremely comfortable, emanating distinct English pub vibes throughout. The menu is crafted from local produce, offering a number of traditional pub style dishes, think large roasts, pies, rich soups and beautiful burgers. Don't forget to save room for the traditional bread and butter pudding with butterscotch sauce! There's also a great selection of beers on tap and a good wine list too. Best dish: Aged Tasmanian Porterhouse steak with fat chips and Clarendon Arms pepper corn jus
