A Cracking Night At Clarkes Although modest from the outside, Clarkes of North Beach has much to boast about when it comes to the food. Sitting on a quiet street, this place almost feels like home, but when it comes down to it, this is a serious eating-out experience, nothing like what you’d get at home. Dishes of pork belly, crackling and apple, and veal fillet and cheek on sugarsnap peas are beautifully constructed and presented. The wine list is varied, highlighting smaller producers, with a dozen or so offered by the glass. And the mouthwatering desserts such as the chocolate and caramel with popping candy and coconut panna cotta with buttermilk ice-cream are just icing on the cake.
