The mark of a good restaurant is not responding to great food, but how they deal with issues. The oysters fresh and succulent, the scallops brilliant and the spaghetti marinara about the best in Melb. The octopus skewers tough and inedible, after being so tender last visit. Despite feedback to two staff at their request, nothing was done. Disappointing

Seafood based menu, exceptionally fresh. Loved spaghetti marinara and roasted veg with feta. Scallops and octopus skewers were great. Staff very friendly.

Cute restaurant but table was tiny and the plates are really large, made dining uncomfortable. Food was ok, very seasoned. I probably wouldn’t go back.,

In comparison to the Claypots in Sth Melbourne & St Kilda I was actually a little disappointed. While the meal was quite nice - it was nowhere near the standard of the other 2 restaurants (I thought they were the same group as have very similar menus). We had the garlic prawn each & an oyster and had the anchovies (apparently they were supposed to be Spanish Anchovies but they weren’t the lovely white delicate anchovies that Spain is known for but the brown “hairy” ones that are nowhere near as lovely 😔. The chilli crab & muscles was served on a bed of microwaved rice and wasn’t served very hot which was a shame as it was rather tasty. The staff were friendly but with all the competition on Hardware Lane - I think the menu needs to be lifted quite a bit to be anywhere near on par with St Kilda or Sth Melbourne and to bring in more clientele along Hardware Lane.
