Food was pretty good, prices reasonable (good with TheFork discount) and service was good. The place was just a bit loud due to not much sound absorption, was hard to have a conversation without raising the voice.
The pizza based was very wet and not crunchy in the middle parts. The ragu although was nice it was quite bland and made up mainly of the fatty part of the pork
The staff were very welcoming and attentive and explained the menu very well. The restaurant is a little noisy and it was quite busy on a Thursday night but comfortable and the tables weren’t packed together as in some places.
There were five of us for dinner - four adults and one child. The service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious. Highly recommend the lasagna. Would come back.
Beautiful dishes with a perfect wine list to complement and suit a range of budgets. Authentic and personable service and lovely atmosphere, all perfectly combined to make our dining experience romantic and memorable. Thank you!
Ordered enough food for 2, unfortunately we couldn't finish it all. Was told take away was not available. Otherwise it gave the feeling of an authentic italian atmosphere, great food.
Colle Rosso is a great suburban restaurant. The food is excellent and if using a deal, it makes it very affordable. Wine is very reasonably priced. It can be a bit noisy though, especially if there are some larger groups there. Haven’t ever had any issues with parking either.
In a busy Saturday night, service was friendly, quick and excellent. Food was delicious and generous as usual. A favourite restaurant I frequent often.
Great food and lovely staff. We ordered the calamari to share as a starter, it was a good size and really delicious, nice and crispy. The pizza was very good and they had a good wine list of very reasonable prices. My only negative is it is very noisy having timber floors and a large open room. However the food was definitely good enough for us to return.
We always wanted to try this restaurant because of the excellent reviews form different sources. Now that we have experienced ourselves it is well worthwhile for us to drive from south side of Brisbane to the restaurant just for the food and hospitality.
Beautiful pizza and calamari. Will definitely be back
Fantastic food in comfortable setting. Pizzas are highly recommended!
The pizza (Sarda) and pasta (spaghetti with barramundi) are real disappointment and are not anywhere near what I read in the review before I decided to give the restaurant a try. The calamari fritti was ok but a bit salty which made me thirsty for the rest of the evening. I asked for the bill but did not get it for a long time. Finally my wife had to ask about the bill at the reception at the entrance and learned that we pay there. The setting is not comfortable at all with noise bouncing off the floor, walls and ceiling. Neither were the chairs comfortable. We went in a couple of happy customers but left a couple of disappointed customers.
The fried calamari is not bad , service is adequate, parking is hard to find, a bit tricky. Overall it is quite a good experience
Great authentic Italian restaurant. Such friendly staff and the layout of the restaurant is cozy and warm. The pizzas were awesome - one of the best in Brisbane. Didn't get to try the Calzone but it looked really good when ordered by another table next to us
Very welcoming and exceptional service, even though busy! There is no leaving hungry; the mains are generous portions. The panna cotta is outstanding, so smart, I am almost always never a dessert person... converted!
Good service and food.
Wonderful food, lovely welcome, attentive and knowledgeable staff, and nice family atmosphere. Pastas and pizza were well worth the long wait and noisy room. Rear parking and access were convenient in the pouring rain.
Lovely welcome. Tables too close together though. Asked for bruschetta & received something with anchovies (no tomato) that was awful. Mains were ok. Gluten free pizza base was good. Service was great & friendly but the food took a long time to arrive. Wouldn’t return.
