Absolutely loved the atmosphere - it really is a special place - better than photos you see. Dishes were amazing, well presented. I'd say that vegetarian dishes can be improved. Some were outstanding like the chilled pea soup but a couple of others were ok. An in all AMAZINGLY SPECIAL place.
Each meal is a work of art. One of the best in the business. Only problem is accessibility and transport means a designated driver is a must, or you can always stay over. However, the same issue keeps it as pristine as it is. Love this place and go at least once a year for degustation.
The views were amazing and the 6 course degustation menu was lovely and well thought out. We didn’t do the matching wines.
Pleasant afternoon. Do not expect quick service. But a quick lunch here is not the point !!
Beautiful for a lunch meal with views
A great dining experience! Relaxed Sunday lunch, not a care in the world. Delicious and well-presented food, friendly and attentive service, beautiful views, great ambiance. We'll see you again!
Wonderful flavours, great service (knowledgeable, attentive but also well paced) and tranquil private waterfront setting
Service very slow (30 minutes before menus arrived) and confused as we were served by all four staff and some requests were not met. Also signage not clear (blends in with background) and we ended up walking down to the kiosk - not pleasant on a very hot day (36deg) !
The place is absolutely beautiful and peaceful day or night. The food was fantastic although i was a bit underwhelmed with the slow cooked meat. Other than that, my partner and I were blown away.
A fine restaurant in an equally fine location, great attention given to the quality of the food presented
Delicious food, amazing unique location, outstanding service
It’s hard to have a bad meal with a view like that ! But the food was just as superb as the views. Service was on point, we even had a kookaburra visitor drop by. We went with the degustation & shared matching wines. The pea soup was the absolute stand out, followed by the quail & strawberry granita but to be honest all the food was delicious. We had an amazing day. Can’t recommend enough !
Beautiful location and food, slightly over priced, but great for special occasions.
We keep on coming back. Sensational.
Hidden gem. Worth the effort. Expensive but good value considering the caliber of service and food
Not somewhere you could afford to lunch every day but for worth every penny. This is our favourite restaurant in the world! For elegant food in a truly relaxing and beautiful location, far away from noise and crowds and with unhurried, friendly service, this is the place to go.
It was a lovely long lunch of delicious tastes and glorious waterfront views. I think all of my party of 9 will be back to experience it all over again as the seasons and menu change. Thankyou for your nuanced hospitality and service !
Service very, very slow.
What an amazing place! The food was some of the best we've had from the top restaurants in Sydney... and yet the surroundings were magically tucked away on the water with views of bush and wildlife all around.
Great afternoon with good food and view
2 Anderson Place, 2084, Cottage Point, Australia
Sitting lakeside in the beautiful Kuringai Chase National Park is Cottage Point Inn. This exclusive location is just a short drive from Sydney, however, those who can afford it arrive via by seaplane... to each their own.
This beautiful restaurant is a converted boathous, now boasting a five star contemporary menu and cracking views. Choose a la carte or the degustation option - either way you'll be wowing at every bite.
Seafood is the way to go, so if you're spoilt for choice go for a fishy dish. Come for a late lunch or an early dinner so you can watch the sun set behind the lake - it's picture perfect!
Best dish: just go for the degustation.
