My husband & I enjoyed a lovely evening at this one hatted restaurant. The service was welcoming & friendly, & the look was elegant but yet warm & cosy. We were never rushed & were allowed to enjoy our evening. The 4 course menu was superb as was the French Rosè we shared. We will go back again.
The meal was superb and the service excellent. Fine dining indeed. It was lovely to speak with the head chef who took our orders and at the end of the evening speak with him again about the ethos of this restaurant - one of creative seasonal culinary experimentation and evolution. We loved it and have no hesitation in recommending Courgette as a five star dining experience.
One of Canberra's best restaurants. Cannot fault the staff, atmosphere and the food as always is consistently excellent. Will definitely will go back.
We had a table for 8 (5 adults and 3 kids) for lunch and were placed in the private cellar room - which was perfect. The food was divine, the attention and service was exceptional, and the chef coming to greet us and engage with the kids unexpected and well received. Well done, Courgette, a 10 out of 10 experience.
Our 3rd visit and beautiful as always
What a truly enjoyable evening! The food was divine in both presentation and quality, the atmosphere relaxing and sophisticated and the service simply perfect. I would highly recommend Courgette for a special evening, celebration or just because.
Simply stunning! The atmosphere, wait stuff and amazing food was more then we could ask for. We will be returning and telling all our friends to dine there as well.
IN A PARTY OF SIX THERE WERE THREE GENERATIONS . ALL BOTH MALE AND FEMALE RATED THE WHOLE DINNING EXPERIENCE AS OUTSTANDING . !! We believe your one hat rating is deceptive and in our opinion is the best restaurant in Canberra . Surely it warrants two hats . We were particularly pleased with the variety of plates , the seamless efficient service and the pace of the dinner .
I came on a Monday night with my partner. We had an excellent experience. Food is fantastic, inventive and tasty. Great wine list. Service was good. Ambience was very romantic.
About the food. It has the Great taste and fantastic look. Enjoy the food so much. If they can bring the dish out faster then it is then all will be perfect. Also, I understand tonight is eve Christmas so it must be busy.
Beautiful food prepared with great care and detail. The staff were friendly, efficient, and were able to give great advice about wine matching.
Excellent meal, service and atmosphere. We would definitely come back. Thank you for a fantastic night.
This restaurant is absolutely perfect in every way! The incredible staff, the really comfy seats and surroundings and most of all the completely divine food. Every single one of the four courses were perfect in taste, size and presentation. A restaurant not to be missed.
This is a special restaurant with excellent food and innovative dishes. A good place for that special occasion. The staff explain the dishes and are attentive but not hurrying
Absolutely divine food, paired, thanks to our genial sommelier, with the perfect choice of wine. If you 2ant high quality food and drink, this is the place
Dinner was Tops. Every part was delicious.
I took my partner out for his birthday at Courgette and it did not disappoint! I have been previously and remember that the food was delicious, attention to detail, impeccable and the service was outstanding. Courgettes executive chef James Mussillon even walked the floor and interacted with diners. He paid particular attention to our table and went over and above to ensure my partners birthday dinner was special. The wine pairing with our meals was perfect! We will definitely be back.
Our favourite restaurant, this was a welcome return. Exquisite food and service and perfect wine pairings made for a very enjoyable evening, highly recommend!
Lovely atmosphere - and decor. Good for intimate dinner
An excellent restaurant

You say zucchini, I say Courgette
Courgette is to restaurants what Bentleys are to cars – seriously luxurious. Located in the heart of Canberra city, expect French, fine fare from this frequently gong-winning restaurant. Dishes may appear to be simple but they rely on the freshest of ingredients and adventurous pairings to delight diners – and they’ve managed to collect chefs’ hats every year for the past three years. Whether you want a three-course lunch or four course a la carte dinner, you had better be prepared to make some difficult choices. You should also ready yourself for dishes that delight the eye and sing on the tongue. Try the roasted Jerusalem artichoke, asparagus and eschalot with garlic foam, hazelnuts and lemon dressing. Alternatively, you may prefer the black Angus grange fillet of beef with pomme fondant (very fancy mashed potatoes), French lentils with heirloom carrots and olive jam. Expect courteous staff, well presented food and quality wines matched to your meal.
Best dish: Prosciutto wrapped, pan-seared scallops, confit chicken wings with pea mousse, lemon olive oil balsamic reduction
