Fabulous
Was a little disappointed with food this time, was almost cold when it got to table and was only lukewarm and was cold by second mouthful.
Very disappointed. Bad food quality, very low quality service. I am wondering if it is because of the covid or just because of the fact that the restaurant simply is of bad quality.
Service this time was a little weird, having 2 different people serving us disjointed the flow of the night, especially when one of the servers was a lot more courteous than the other. The focaccia starter was quite good, although I would have liked a bit more olive oil, or at least some on the side to dip into. My veal dish was quite satisfying, with all elements complimenting each other, blanketed in the tasty gravy. It did feel almost like a carvery meal though, and at $40, I would expect something with a bit more pizzazz. My company ordered the fish of the day, which was Salmon today, though the cut looked a little thick, vertically and did not come with a wedge of lemon. If it had been my order, I don't think I would be fully satisfied. Overall, a mediocre experience for the price.
First time for dinner with friends on my husbands birthday. Excellent service and we all really enjoyed our meal. The main course duck was delicious. Our lovely waitress even organised some cake with a candle for the birthday boy!
Excellent food and service this is our 2nd time back and still as brilliant as the 1st time. Service always with a smile and food nothing to fault!
Special occasion mentioned on booking was completely ignored. $60 steak (no sides) was like chewing leather (asked to be cooked medium, came out well done.. waited too long to complain and wait longer) Water was extremely hard to get topped up, bill never came to table - awkwardly just walked to front desk to pay after asking for bill. 1/10 would not recommend.
The atmosphere was welcoming and we had a bit of issue with the dessert and the staff did not charge us which was great. Always a pleasure to come back.
The menu doesn’t really have a great selection of choices . 1 fish dish and the rest were red meat . I’m celiac so they did have gluten free pasta and pizza options . However they cook all dishes in the same oil , same oven so cross contamination of gluten . Not 100% gf . The pizza we ordered was very bland . Prawn and cheese with fresh rocket .. as it was the only pizza without red meat that looked like it had more flavour then the margarita cheese pizza . All u could taste was pizza base . Thank the pizzas at gemelli are 100 x more tasty. Disappointing but I feel most places have dropped their standard since covid .
The degustation menu is sooo good. Don’t miss it.
We tried the degustation menu, 1 with wine and 2 without wine package. Food was alright but not worth the money, wine was terrible, 2out 3 kinds were too young hence was not finished.
Ordered the degustation menu. Timing between each course was appropriate and well-designed. Each course was excellent, except the surprise gelato at the end. That was a bit underwhelming and unnecessary after such a good brulee dessert.
the waitress was wonderful. Entree- calamari was awesome so was the cannoli dessert. Maltagliati was a tad too salty for my liking. Flavours were good but the saltines overpowered the entire dish.
The restaurant was hard to find in the casino, and when we got there we were ignored by the hostess. The service was fast and the atmosphere was nice. But the food was average and nothing special
Food was fantastic and service exceptional
The hostess was very unwelcoming which made us rethink our choice of restaurant. Overall, the food was well presented and tasted great. Our waiter was very helpful but seemed a bit scattered. He was very pleasant though. The Maltagliati (lobster pasta) was a too salty for us, but aside from the salt issue, it was delicious. The Burrata (bruschetta) was excellent. The ingredients were fresh and colorful.
Pasta were a bit disappointing tonight. It used to have good pasta dishes but tonight they were just very underwhelming. gambari Pasta was too sweet (never thought a pasta would be sweet...) Carbonara tasted weird. Pizza was good as always. Entree and chargrill were up to standard too. Tiramisu tasted great but presentation was very plain, unlike the usual Cucina Vivo style.
As usual the service was amazing, staff were always welcoming. Small menu to choose from, but it was well worth it. Can't wait to be back again and try more menu options.
Food is great, especially the wood-fired pizza.
Love the veal dish and the fries.
Food was great, and so was our waiter
