High quality produce beautifully plated and explained by the waiter, very busy so a little slow at table clearing and topping up wine, would have preferred a better placed table, overall a wonderful experience

We stood by the restaurant entrance for some time without any acknowledgement from the staff despite there only being 3 tables occupied. We found the service to be inattentive, the food came out incredibly slowly considering the restaurant was only 1/4 full and the portion size was very small. We went to Cullen last year and found it was a stand out experience and were very disappointed with this visit.

The person providing the wine tastes was not engaging, it was hard to get any info about the wine we were tasting from them, the price to taste the premium wines was excessive, we were told we would not be charged for them as we were dining there but they appeared on the bill. We chose to dine at Cullens based on friend previous experiences but it did not live up to our expectations.

Lovely setting but really small serves. The menu had lots of vegetarian dishes.

Menu only available when you arrive -due to fresh home grown produce and locally sourced etc.. I would not have booked given the choices - I like seafood so I was OK and while the kangaroo was cooked as it should be, the accompaniment was lacking and the overall lack of choice for all of us was disappointing - starters should arrive before entrees. Wrong white wine presented then having to make two requests for our choice of a bottle of red to breathe, in the open bottle, a glass or decanter.

Menu had reduced significantly from historical choices. Three mains only to choose from being Vegetable, Fish and Kangaroo only 1 leaf salad as the only side dish on the menu. Service as always was good , just disappointing that my favorite Margaret River region winery/restuarant that we on average visit 10 times a yearactually disappointed !!

Glad I chose this place from all the other high end winery restaurants of Margaret River region. The food was phenomenal; well considered perfectly executed; locally grown sustainable but most of it was also all interesting without being wacky. Two of the best dishes I’ve ever had in my life (locally sourced octopus entree and a sorbet dessert) . Excellent value and great variety including vegan options (as is all vegan wine too). The wine tasting was excellent with great variety and of course the two flagship wines (Diana Madeleine Cabernet blend and Kevin John Chardonnay) were stunning, including back vintages available in the enotec system. Super friendly and chilled staff lovely surrounds and well priced wines for this quality. The biodynamic wines really add something and it is interesting to note how it is incorporated and influences the wine and winemaking practices. Also they are beyond a carbon neutral winery to ‘climate positive’. A real step forward and leading the way in the industry still. Brilliant stuff.

Beautiful setting, delicious wine and food. Highly recommend the rabbit matched with the Semillon. We were celebrating our ten year wedding anniversary and the staff made a great effort to make things feel special. The desert wine and honey tasting at the end of our meal was lovely. Thank you Cullen Wines

I've dined at Cullen numerous times over many years and they never disappoint. Beautiful fresh ingredients from their garden, innovative well executed cuisine, and always sensible attentive staff.

The menu was disappointing with only for mains, one of which was a soup. For a fancy restaurant having to pay at the entrance and point out which table we were at and recite what we had to eat is very poor service.

The wine tasting host was exceptionally welcoming & friendly on arrival with a well rounded knowledgable of Cullens story, wine is absolutely beautiful reflected in its consistent awards won. The food was creative, loved the vineyard sourced honey and vegetables, however the flavour of the local produce was lost in the lamb dish I had. Menu is excessively expensive in my opinion, our waitress tone, delivery & attitude was the only let down. Definitely do the wine tasting, Cullen story is a fabulous reflection of the area

Food and wine superb; setting great; service poor. Our food took one hour to arrive from the time we ordered. Our query was met with 'the kitchen is busy today'. In desperation we ordered bread, which eventually came with the food. Difficult to recommend - we didn;t feel that we were valued.

Cullen Winery's lunch restaurant is next to its wine tasting counter and has an outside section with views across vines. While not as salubrious as some of the better known winery restaurants in the region, the service is attentive and the prices for excellent food are reasonable. The wines are excellent, with choices down to 50 ml., which is great for a driver.

About the restaurant

Wine with a view

With sweeping views of the historic vineyard at Wilyabrup, Margaret River, Cullen Wines Dining is a spectacular place in which to indulge and relax... with a glass of wine in hand of course! The restaurant itself is housed in a noteworthy granite and timber structure that blends harmoniously into the landscape - seat yourself an outside table in order to fully appreciate the beautiful setting. The menu is classy, clean and pretty as a picture. Start with a delicate entree like the ceviche with chilli, lime and wakame salad, then move on to a heavier main. We love the oven crisp confit duck leg with organic soba noodle salad, Asian greens, chilli and palm sugar dressing. Make sure you nominate someone else to be designated driver because you can’t leave Cullens without sampling some of their award-winning wine!

Best Dish: sous vide quail with apple and herb salad, roasted hazelnuts, Cullen honey, orange glaze and organic baby beetroot.
