East End excellence. Culshaws is part of the Majestic Roof Top Garden Hotel, which in itself is worth a visit. You can see over the top of the city and enjoy a nifty experience drinking above everyone else in town. The restaurant itself prides itself on its very Australian menu, and 100% South Australian wine list. Head Chef Matthew Inkley uses beautiful local produce as well as implementing special native items such as wattle, lemon myrtle and bush tomatoes. His menu is fresh and exciting and the hotel as a whole is youthful and very contemporary. Located within easy walking distance of just about everything, this restaurant offers such delights as native wildfire South Australian king prawns, Caingrass Station saltbush lamb cutlets and beautiful and interesting sides such as an egg, beetroot, Meredith Valley goat’s cheese and pumpkin salad. The desserts are divine. Orange and strawberry gum panna cotta shows of the diverse way of thinking in this proud Aussie chef’s bag of tricks. Best Dish-the Hop, Snap and Swim- Australian tasting plate.
