Have been to Curry Munches a few times now and it's always a pleasure. Friendly, efficient service and super tasty food. Good value and nice atmosphere. We will be back again :)
Our dining experience was disappointing again because of the poor service. The waitress asked if we were from the fork which we confirmed. She went on to state that we couldn't pack away food before we could even order any food. It was presumptuous and rude. The food was good but the portions seemed even less than the last visit. Everything felt so compromised because we were fork members. It's unethical and reflects the owners poor customer service which is unlike true Indian hospitality.
The food was good. A bit surprised that the dish comes with no rice, naan,...everything is extra. And you do need to order rice or bread with the curry. I think it would have been more straightforward if they would have priced the main meals in such way to include everything else you need with it such as rice. Thank you!
Lovely food and naan bread was the best I've ever had! Staff friendly. Would definitely return.
Really good Curries. The fish moilee and lamb dum chops and paneer were superb. Service was friendly and prompt. Will try the lamb briyani and chicken phall next time.
Lovely little restaurant with friendly staff and great food. I highly reccomend the truffle naan but everything we ordered was delicious. 100% will go back
2 of us went and enjoyed triple samosa's (the dipping sauce of mint and tamarind is divine!), followed with butter chicken, lamb korma, garlic naan and plain rice. We got a 50% discount through The Fork so it made a reasonably priced night out. I love the decor it's got a bit of a New York kind of feel behind the bar. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend and will be back - I've even just told my coffee van guy and he will spread the word!
The food was wonderfully tasty - we had three different meat dishes and they all had their own unique delicious flavours. Tow of our party are themselves expert curry cooks and they were glowing of the flavours in the food we were served. The host was a light-hearted fellow and welcoming, and perhaps just a little too flippant on a couple of occasions - otherwise, he and his waitress provided prompt, efficient service. We will definitely be back, especially if The fork offers their very generous 50% discount.
Really good food, great service! The guy really knows his food! Well done!
Overall the food was very good except for one dish. We were recommend the Goat Curry and unfortunately we were very disappointed in this dish. There was very little meat and the dish was full of bones. There was one small triangular bone that cut my gum. The staff said that it is normal to include bones but all the recipes I reviewed refer to goat meat cut into cubes. However we enjoyed the other dishes.
The food was fine except for one dish. The restaurant added a minimum charge to the Fork 50% off offer. It felt like a "bait and switch". If we had known about the minimum charge when we made the booking, we probably would have cancelled. We will not be back.
My experience with Curry Munchers was not very good the second time. The first time I got the whole 50% on the food bill. However this time, while the food was nice, the guy at the payment counter only offered us a discount of $ 45 off our bill of $ 118 which is less than 50%. He said the discount was upto a maximum of $ 45. However no where on the offer or confirmation was it mentioned that there was a limit of $ 45 which seemed made up and unethical. I hope the Fork takes it up with this restaurant which is unethical in its offer.
Best curry by far it was delicious and a good wine list definitely worth it and will be our fav place to eat
Compared this to other indian restaurants, we wish to give some constructive comments: 1. More MSG, but better than most Chinese restaurants. 2. Curry dishes were mainly gravy only. The menu is overpriced. Should provide more REAL SOLID FOOD. Especially vegetarian dishes. Vegetables are cheap but the curry had so little. 3. Food taken a bit too long to be served. Almost 30min from ordered time. 10minutes will be reasonable.
A friendly welcome to a nice, cosy local diner. Super-delicious flavours as one would expect. A great drinks list, too. Value for money seems about right, so there should only be happy patrons.
Great food and service!
We absolutely loved it! Being Anglo Indian ourselves we can be quite fussy, especially my parents, but the food was so delicious...we ALL LOVED it. We’ll definitely be back xx
Delicious gluten free vegan options!!!!! Beautiful curries, more...ish veg biryani ! Service very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.
Thanks Curry Munchers, My hubby and I had a pre-theatre dinner here on Saturday night. The menu had a great selection and the friendly wait staff informative. The food was really enjoyable with good size serves. The space is small but looks great and is well set out. There is additional seating out the front but you still feel quite connected and is personal .
Great food, very tasty, We ordered garlic naan (sooo good ) lamb korma, butter paneer and vegetable briyani. Very good service. Would recommend this restaurant. Will be back for sure!
