We really enjoyed the Crayfest. Chowder was delicious. Cray great, chips exceptional, salad nice. Cocktail sauce was yummy. Service was fine.

Food was nice but overpriced for what you got. The seafood basket was predominantly calamari, so felt that what was there was not worth the price. Waitress very attentive, and the service was very efficient. Would likely go again, but would be going for something else on the menu.

Historic hotel near waterfront. Excellent wine list at fair prices. They are doing a cray deal so they were very busy. $55 for seafood chowder, half a cray and a glass of wine or beer. Excellent value and quality

Overall, it was pretty good. Slightly disappointed though, with being seated adjacent a largish table of gentlemen who, were a little bit exuberant with their chats.

Had the Crayfest. 6 people Seafood chowder enjoyed by 6 guests Main Crayfish 5 people enjoyed cray. 1 person thought cray was overcooked & flesh dry. 1 person disappointed by small amount of tail. Did not seem to be all there 1 person had apple crumble desert. Not a lot of effort.Worse apple crumble experienced. Expensive 1 person had waffle ice cream Expensive for what amounted to an ice cream cone.

We arrived on time, were promptly seated and drinks and meals orders taken almost straight away. We ordered pre-dinner drinks but our bottle of wine arrived after we completed our entrees. We sent the bottle back and ordered a glass of wine each to have with our mains. My husband’s steak, which he ordered rare, arrived medium but as we’d been messed around with over the wine, did not send it back, to have to wait again. No wait staff approached us to check on our meals, so there was no opportunity to remark on the overcooked steak. In fact, she was very good in avoiding eye contact. The crayfish I had was superb but I have to say, a Greek salad is not a soggy, over-dressed mess of mixed leaves on a plate. It’s such a shame that our experience would not encourage a return visit nor recommend to friends or family.

One of my ansolute favourites for seafood in Hobart. Never disappoints. Scallops, chowder and crusted fish are standouts . Service is always great

The food was fabulous, we ate every bite. Plenty of food provided with each dish. Our favourite was the freshly made bread loaf with garlic butter that you could smear on and gobble up. Only slight dampener were the yobbo drunks out the front making a nuisance of themselves.

Beautiful location within walking distance from CBD. Great food at reasonable prices. We ordered lamb shanks, crumbed fish and chips and schnitzel and chips menu items. All well cooked and tasty. Will return again.

Great food served by friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. Seated people so they had space and privacy. Look forward to returning.

Miserable waitress. No Sunday roast as per website. Over peppered food. Only 2 other tables with patrons, yet we waited a good 30 minutes for entres.

Very good service, food was typical fare, more touristy based. Nice outlook to the Hobart waterfront with easy access
