Very good
Beautiful ambience... Amazing food... Authentic taste of South Indian cuisine that you can't get anywhere in Sydney. The owner and chef happened to be from my native place, was courteous and humble. Will definitely recommend and visit whenever I can!
Great food, convenient location, friendly service. Easy on street parking. I would definately recommend the venue & look forward to the next visit.
Terrific night with beautiful food and great service. Loved it
As always, Dhakshin serves the customers with passion. The chef picks ingredients delicately to craft the curries. Would love to visit again.
Always great food and lovely service. We love it
Dhakshin is always a pleasure. Highly recommended
The waiter was so pleasant and calm, it felt perfectly with the relaxing atmosphere and soft music. The food was amazing and such large portions of the goat curry! Their portion size was noticeable larger than I had had in Indian and Thai restaurants I had visited before. Service was prompt and efficient!
Amazing food and service. The kozhi rasam was excellent. The chef deserves an applause.
Absolutely fantastic food - far exceeded all of our expectations. Will be coming back here as soon as possible! Plus they had local beers on the menu. Quick friendly service. A genuine 10/10 dining experience.
Our favourite Indian restaurant. Everything is so delicious. The goat, smoked eggplant, barramundi curry etc. Totally recommend if you want some genuine tasty food. Naan and pulao rice also delicious
It's one of the best restaurant , but very less vegetarian options, they should serve veg biryani in future
The food is good , bit pricey for the ambience. We saw few cockraoches near the wall and the waiter were really casual about it.Also the Ac was not working well when we went and the place was fully packed. We went with a big group and felt really uncomfortable due to the ac. We tried a lot of things, fried okra and fried meatballs and kuzhi paniyaram was really good.Even the chicken chettinad and barramundi fish with appam was good. But we would expect better serivce for the price we paid.Nearly 40$ per person even after the 30% fork discount
Food was authentic and delicious. The presentation was beautiful. Service was slow and the restaurant was near empty but I think they were allowing us time as we were dining as friends.
Great food! All the curries, naan, dosa and entrees were very tasty. Seems like a very traditional South Indian restaurant, with great variety of meat and vegetarian options.
Dhakshin is always our favourite restaurant. Best South Indian food in Sydney. A bit expensive but worth the taste. The chef makes his unique style of food which drives us to Dhakshin. Starting from a kid to a older person everyone has options to eat. Best place for a friends catch up and a family dine in.
What a great find! At 7.00 on a Wednesday night, we were the only ones in the place, until a couple of tables came in at 9.30. I can't imagine why. I'm vegan and there were enough options to keep me happy, and plenty for the vegetarians as well as omnivores. The dosai are perfect and the eggplant was a highlight for all. Service was helpful. Decor is pleasant. Will definitely go back
Great food and service. The prawn dish was great (however remember that seafood is not included in the fork festival deal). Would suggest some light music in the background to help with atmosphere.
I was surprised to find a South Indian restaurant of such quality a mere 50m from our hotel. We only ordered three entrees to share and were still fun. The Gobi Manchurian was the highlight. It was good that we booked because the place was pumping.
Great food and value for money. I'm definitely a repeat customer.
Amazing food as usual! Thank you.

Ready for a trip to India without the airfare? Then fasten your seatbelts and head to Dhakshin. This intimate Indian restaurant in takes its customers on an exciting culinary journey. The menu features colourful and aromatic southern-Indian dishes that have been given a gourmet twist. If you’re there with a large group go for one of the sharing platters (the tandoori platter is our favourite), and if you’re a crazy spice fiend the beef vindaloo is seriously good. Come with mates, your family or even a date - Dhakshin can cater for all.
Best Dish: nawabi lamb khorma.
