Excellent
The whole experience from arrival was great. Food was superb , service incredibly attentive and not noisy. We could actually all hear each other.
Delicious flavourful Milanese cuisine sampling the Best of Di Stasio Menu which was preset yet with the flexibility of changing one of the dishes with ease to accommodate dietary requirements. Service was quick and professional bringing memories of my past trip to Milan.
Excellent food good service not rushed but didn’t have to wait long for food to be served enjoyed our night would definitely recommend and yes we will return again
Haphazard service. Terrible wall of boxes divided the room, looking so tacky. Very Reduced menu with escalated prices.
Expectations were high and faithfully delivered. Food quality, presentation and design all excellent. Masonry surroundings reflect room sounds, but not to the point of distraction. Suits a gathering of friends and family in for a robust and tasty time.
A welcoming trendy restaurant with old world charm and service. The food was in itself simple, but classical however the taste was divine. It was a beautiful way to celebrate a special birthday.
Brilliant as always
We love this place, one of our favourites in Melbourne
Beautiful almost cave like space with red comfy chairs. A little cool welcome on entering as I had advised was having a birthday lunch & no acknowledgement of that. Not a big deal considering how hard it’s been for Melbourne but would have been a nice touch. Waiters attentive but tending to overdo each other’s tables and yet having to ask for water, bread and a wine menu a little frustrating but we have all been tipped upside down and inside out. To be expected. Took the three course menu for $95 pp. Glad I did coz I doubt I would have got through 5 courses for their other offering at $155 pp. I chose the most incredible prawn lemony acidic creamy linguine. Out of this world. Very al debate, probably a wee bit too much on the tooth but exquisito! Next the Pollo Arrosto. Most gorgeous little flattened baby chook cooked to perfection lying on a bed of rosemary with roast potatoes and a shared Italian salad. My dessert was my least fave: a torti Di vaniglia. I should have picked the choc mousse. The tart was good but not exciting enough for me, a dessert afficiobado. Strange I couldn’t get a mocha after, me with my plebeian tastes inb or having an espresso! The most beautiful Prosecco by the glass, so light and tender. Must get that by the bottle. Very very good. Partner: scallops in shell 5/5; beef with polenta 4/5; affogato 4/5. Had a good glass of Chianti. Sourdough bread with hone made butter very very good. We will be back!
Food very expensive and nothing to rave about ambience not great with paper box partitions
What a wonderful welcome back to dining. Delightful professional staff, our group of six thoroughly enjoyed delicious food- in a festive atmosphere despite the restaurant’s reduced Covid capacity. Loved the deco coffee spoons and the cocktails too. Best Negroni in Melbourne.
The food was amazing! The beef carpaccio just melted in your mouth. The wine list was equally good. The Levantene Hill Shiraz was a stand out. The torta dessert was delicious. The luxurious layers of white chocolate shards was heavenly.
Always an amazing experience...have loved Di Stasio for over 20 years and the new sister RESTUARANT in Melbourne’s CBD is truely extraordinary. The amazing food, extensive wine list, great service and the vista of Parliament House make for a truly wonderful dining experience.
Absolutely incredible food and dining experience. The food, service, wine list and atmosphere second to none. Di Stasio Citta has risen to the top of my fave Melbourne restaurants list!
welcoming and courteous staff, the food is excellent but you need to know your menu. The decor is minimal contemporary with some interesting images displayed on the walls.
Staff hesitant to seat us despite booking. Didn’t receive drinks for half an hour. Entree was amazing! Mains were average.. pasta legitimately undercooked even for me. Ordered a chocolate dessert and they brought pistachio. Sang for our friends birthday which was cool... relatively good experience although wouldn’t rush back.
Funky space and great service but the "special" gnocchi was bland and the fried seafood too salty. Good wine. Overall, over priced. Their place at St Kilda much better.
Great food we will be returning often.
Outstanding experience, not like any other. Unique, eclectic and memorable. Outstanding experience, not like any other. Unique, eclectic and memorable.
To whom it may concern.. We enjoyed the welcome and service..it was very good.. We all thought food was good..in particular Entrees and main dishes! Wine list and Mineral water overpriced.. As for atmosphere far too loud.. I suppose due to being a full house! Thank you for the opportunity to comment.. Joe C
