"CLEAR YOUR CELLAR"

When you enjoy wine and start to acquire or collect it, it’s easy to fill up your space pretty quickly. You often save a bottle or two to share with specific people, or on a specific occasion. But then those opportunities don’t quite come the way you imagined, or a bottle gets pushed to the back and you forget about it or your tastes start to change and all of a sudden your favourite wine is just taking up cellar space. That's where we step in. Every Tuesday night at District Brasserie, we welcome you to come and and enjoy those forgotten bottles with dinner. There's no limit to how many bottles you can bring, and we'll only charge you $20 corkage per bottle. We'll even tag and store them for you so you don't have to worry about transporting them into the city each week.

About District Brasserie

Chifley’s District Brasserie is an excellent contribution to Sydney city’s dining scene with a new, European-style venue that achieves a sophisticated yet casual elegance. District is open for BREAKFAST, LUNCH and DINNER - Monday to Friday, with rumours that the team will be opening on Saturday evenings for full dinner and bar service, in the near future. Take advantage of District’s complimentary parking from 6pm daily ! Join the family in town for a beautiful dinner or pop in for some drinks before or after your CBD shopping. District also caters for children with quality and healthy ingredients. Open from morning until late, District’s modern Australian menu has the twist of French savours, that the word “brasserie” might suggest. In true Parisian style, takeaway Single O espresso and fresh breakfast pastries from its own on-site organic bakery are available through the lobby espresso bar, while a mouthwatering and accessible menu is available all day from the table-service restaurant. Former Public Dining/est. chef Mark Knox and ex La Rennaissance patisserie chef Jason Hillier have come up with a long list of delights, from a breakfast of Ora king salmon with poached egg, green tahini, crispy quinoa and kelp salt, through to lunches of steamed hapuka with button mushroom, warrigal greens, clams, mussels & lemon grass. The unique offering, though, is the charred meat cooked on a special charcoal oven imported from Europe. Among the share plates are an 800-gram Jack’s Creek côte de boeuf with leaf salad, triple-cooked chips, horseradish and béarnaise sauce. So dedicated is the team to a higher level of quality and flavour that it’s even particular about the oven’s charcoal, which is secretly sourced and comes from fresh water mangrove trees.
