Excellent service and extremely friendly staff. I always enjoy the authenticity of the food. The sashimi platter was very delicious. Highly recommended to visitors to the Gold Coast.

Eating at Donto Sapporo is an experience of visiting Japan. Excellent service, food and as authentic as it comes. The place I always go to for authentic Japanese cuisine on the Gold Coast. I have not experienced at other Japanese restaurants that come close to Donto Sapporo. Highly recommended!

Chirashi don is highly rec. Not sure what happened to the usually consistent karaage, not as crispy as it normally was.

Very fresh Sashimi, but wish they could do Chirashi the same way they did before the last manager left ie thicker Sashimi cuts. A bigger variety of side dishes for lunch would be appreciated too. Service was average, but food was delicious and fresh. Recommend.

About Donto Sapporo

Prepare to be schooled. Those who are yet to try the superior dining experience at Donto Sapporo are in for a cultural and culinary treat. Settle down at the low traditional tables and rest comfortably on Japanese cushions while you prepare for a seriously good cultural education. On the menu you’ll find familiar Japanese favourites like sushi, sashimi, ramen and shabu shabu hot pots. Try the table top cooking fun of the Kanto-style for tasty and interactive dining fun. So come with friends and family for the best kind of culinary education. Best Dish: Ninniku Tempura - garlic cloves in tempura batter, served with sweet miso paste and sea salt.
