Brilliant in every aspect, from the friendly, attentive service, week to the delicious food and the yummy cocktails. The pricing was really reasonable too. We will be back!

Nice and relaxing atmosphere. The service was great, even though they were short staff. We loved the food and had a great time.

Absolutely delicious food and flavours, generous serves for tapas. Seevice was great too. Restaurant was surprisingly quiet which is why 7 for atmosphere, perhaps because a little off busy Oxford Street but I'd call that a bonus!

Very crowded not much space between tables I think they try to pack too many people in

The quality and techniques used for the food are good, the service is relatively quick and the prices are value for money for the quantity and quality received. Their beef cheek dish is a must try and is, in my opinion, their best item on the menu.

The tables for two were too closely located with hardly room to even get through and having to listen to your neighbours conversation

A couple of cheaper bottles on the wine list would be great. Maybe around$40. The people next to us got rushed to finish as the next people had arrived. They said they were never informed that they had to be out by 8.15pm. Not a good look.

About the restaurant

A Spanish Sensation

As Perth’s first and original Spanish tapas bar, Duende has got one hell of a reputation. Since opening in 2003 this stunning venue has established itself as a neighbourhood favourite, known for its unique culinary experience which offers diners a taste of Spanish tapas culture in a warm and welcoming setting. The word ‘Duende’ essentially means ‘having soul’ and this place has got it by the bucket load.

The open kitchen is the focal point of the venue, churning out delicious Spanish bites using fresh, local produce. The menu is designed to be shared and there all kinds of tasty treats, with plenty of seafood, meat and vego options. We love the tasty chorizo that comes charred straight from the grill, the flavourful paella and the doughnut balls with condensed milk icecream.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Duende is the perfect spot for a casual coffee with your friends, a lunchtime business meeting or a family celebration - yep, this place ticks all the boxes.

Best experience: signature degustation menu.
