Panko crumbed schnitzel, tomato sugo, double smoked leg ham, melted mozzarella, parmesan slaw & fries or mash [add truffle oil $1]
Pencil leek, zucchini noodles, spring onion, fresh herbs, beurre noisette
Food took a while to come (40+ mins) which was a bit of a shame as we had a set time at the tables.
Slow terrace dining service let’s it down
Rooftop is amazing
Great rooftop Terrace and food venue!
The Terrace Bar is a great place to spend a spring afternoon or evening. The food is good and reasonably priced. We had bowls and sweet potato fries. The Buddha bowl was great but could do with more dressing or hummus. The staff were really friendly and helpful.
Disappointed. First visit with group of 6. Service was slow, wines on blackboard not available. Meals on menu not available. Just slow and lacked good staff.
The table we were initially placed at was too high and very wobbly, most certainly NOT appropriate for eating. We were quite concerned about this and expressed out dissatisfaction to our waiter who provided us with a bottle of prosecco for the trouble. Due to a no show booking we were able to be moved onto a different table, which made our dining experience at East Village much more enjoyable.
Lovely! Please never take the fairy lights down! They really add to the vibe of the place
Loved sitting outside. The roast was the best FANCY roast in Sydney. So delicious :)
Awesome food and drink and venue on the rooftop
Good vegan choice
loved the theme
Lovely fairylit rooftop which made for nice ambience
The venue itself is very cool but was incredibly let down by the service. You have a 2 hour seating window on the roof but they didn’t tell us until 1 hr (when we had only just ordered because it took them that long to come over to us). All the staff were pretty useless and they ended bringing out half the meals about 10 minutes after the rest of them. Would only recommend for the venue. The food wasn’t that bad either...the drinks though were very expensive vs value.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Could be more efficient, faster service. Very nice deco. Cozy with lovely views. Great email communication. Very accommodating. We had a memorable and pleasurable birthday.
The food was good, well cooked steak and nice starters, the table we were assigned was a little small for four people. We went for the unlimited timed prosecco package, but at one point my glass was empty for 10 minutes without a refill, which doesn't work for a timed package. The waitress was very friendly, but there were a couple of issues with the bill at the end of the meal (we were given one bill, paid that and then were told that the service hadn't been added, even although we had allowed for a tip), and then were told that they hadn't added some items. All in all it was a good
Kitchen and bar closes at 9/930 Hard to get waiters/waitresses attention to put in orders
Winter garden theme was gorgeous with its fairtylights
Dined here for lunch on Sunday. The weather was superb, not to mention the food and wine. We will be back!
We booked for dinner on Sunday evening . They had run out of some things - good it’s fresh but not so good for the diners! It was winter and though there are heaters and a roof tarpaulin it was pretty cold! That said it was a good place with good food and we’ll probably return when it’s warmer!

East Village glory
Channeling a minimalist wine pub and a classic style sports bar that suddenly makes you want to call everyone "mate", East Village Hotel is bursting with personality.
No detail of this multi-story venue has been overlooked, with every inch of this gem contributing to its buzzing ambience.
The menu is abundant with classic pub style meals that have been revamped for the modern diner. Oh, and make sure you check out the rooftop bar that offers stunning views overlooking the city.
Best dish: any of the evening specials.
