Excellent
The venue had great atmosphere, ambiance and excellent service. Very authentic food and flavours. Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful in recommending a variety of dishes to explore the menu.
We got a quiet table, just like we asked; service was lovely, quick and attentive. Food was fresh and yummy and we didn’t have to wait for it too long. Food and drinks were delightful .
Second time for dinner with even more friends! Great food and great service. Our booking was a bit late but they gave us a spot in the bar and kept updating us! Will be back!
We had a lunch booking, which meant we HAD to take the set menu as a la carte is only available for dinner (even though we called to confirm if a la carte was OK for lunch but was told otherwise upon arrival). There was too much food left over, but we were able to get take away large containers (4 of them)! But it didn't taste as nice the next day.
Service was quick, and everyone that served us was super friendly. Food is amazing - we ordered the chicken thighs, lamb loin and the 3 cheese pide. We got the turkish tea was served with a side of turkish delight. Will definitely dine again and recommend to friends. Thank you efendy for an amazing dinner
It was one of the best experience with Turkish food to be honest. Staffs ran down the details for us with all the suggestions for 2 people. Wine list was amazing. We had a good really good time. Big thanks to Tash, Pricila, Berke and Iso. They truly shown a good hospitality enviroment!
The food was amazing! And the set menu for lunch had a lot of food. Very satisfied.
Turkish bread was delicious and fresh. Needed more crisp to it though.
Fabulous food and the ambience of the restaurant full of character. Highly recommend.
GREAT service, staff were all on point, helpful and very welcoming, food was unforgettably WONDERFUL. The atmosphere was inviting and vibrant. Thanks heaps for the memorable evening to all the staff. We'll be back soon.
Food was delicious, lots of vegetarian options!! The ambience was just perfect, we felt like in Turkey for an instance. Service was really good, the staff was very attentive and professional. The made our night very special. We will definitely be back.
Outstanding. Food, service & ambiance all were spot on. They have also very interesting drinks list. I can highly recommend to everyone. We will be back.

We had a birthday celebration on table and everyone loved the food and service. Cosy and warm. Excellent service and Turkish wine succestion by our server. Will difinitely be back.
Outstanding as always.
Lovely courtyard and nice variety of small dishes
Food was great, our waiter was really good too, but there were a few mix ups with our orders.
Had a lovely table outside with heaters. Everything was delicious - especially the Turkish bread and dips
We've walked past on many occasion's and the smell coming from the kitchen has always made us want to try it. We finally managed to find a time to head out and sample the food and we were blown away at the dishes. Highly recommend the lamb loin! We'll be bringing some friends along for the Saturday mangal lunch soon.
This is a real find. Fabulous food, very friendly attentive service, and a really charming ambience. Would highly recommend for a enjoyable night out.

Young Turks Efendy may mean “gentleman” in old Turkish but there’s nothing old-fashioned about this Balmain stalwart run by chef Somer Sivrioglu, with wife Asli and brother-in-law Fatih Kulle running front-of-house. Fitting then that the broader definition, according to the website, is someone ‘with a traditional upbringing who adopts modern views’. That’s the approach Sivrioglu brings to both the menu which showcases five centuries of regional Turkish recipes to which he has added his personal, contemporary touch, while making the most of the finest local produce. Efendy’s seasonal menu is designed to share, or you can choose to go for their signature Anatolian Feast which features some of the restaurant’s more popular dishes including charcoal- smoked eggplant babaganush and lamb testicles with pistachio chilli and almond tarator. Sivrioglu makes frequent trips back to Turkey to keep up to date with what’s happening in the mother country, and has even published his own cookbook – ‘Anatolia’ – if you want to try out any of these delicacies at home. Efendy’s breakfast was voted the city’s best in the 2014 SMH Good Food Guide, and no wonder: their ‘Van’ style breakfast menu includes freshly-baked pide, an array of cheeses, jams such as cherry, rose and fig, along with hot dishes such as Menemen eggs, sujuk spicy sausages, cigar borek and pachanga borek. Their drinks menu also hits the spot with options such as homemade lemonade with muddled pomegranate or mint, or for the more adventurous, Ayran, a salty yoghurt drink. If you’re after something a little more alcoholic to accompany breakfast, lunch or dinner, why not try a Narosa – sparkling wine, pomegranate and Pama pomegranate liqueur or a Vishnosa – Sparkling wine, vodka marinated sour cherries and cherry juice. As they say in Turkey – Afiyet olsun (Enjoy your meal)! Best dish: kaygana-melted kashar cheese with carob molasses and walnuts
