I booked through the fork and I thought I was booking for Manly which is why we were a no show at the rocks. We did enjoy the manly restaurant. Sorry for the mix up

some staff were helpful whilst others were not, we were told different things by different staff members which make it really confusing. some of the food came whilst others didn't

Terrible food. Not close to good Mexican I have had. Service was horrible even though I had a booking. Took 45 minutes for our food to come out. Definitely not worth the trip to the city and the hype.

We went for taco Tuesday, the first member of staff was friendly and helpful. When we received our tacos we noticed the fish was raw after already eating half! We gave the raw fish taco to a member of staff who came back to say they will send out a new one cooked we explained we had already eat two and a half and no longer felt like eating or drinking. She seemed to be very dismissive and explained they would only refund us food and we just needed to be sick if we felt sick. We then asked to speak with a manger who did refund all food and drinks as we no longer felt like drinking. I am very disappointed as I love el Camino normally but no longer feel I could trust there food!

All was good. Would love to go back. But it should be made clear how long your booking is prior to arrival. We did not know it would only be a short time until we got kicked out of our seats

el camino has great fun food to share. Our problem in our group of 6 was the ordering .... Ordering in a group where we are all sharing and paying for it on line is extremely difficult in a group.. I understand covid rules but why cant somebody..a human take an order. I will not go back there again. The restaurant had more staff than patrons who were all kissing and cuddling as they arrived and left..yet they cant take an order ???? poor effort

The overall atmosphere of the place is really good and I did enjoy that, however it was dissapointing as we had to wait over an hour for Tacos. We told about 5 different staff and they said they will let the resturant know however we were left waiting as nothing happened. Eventually we got hold of one staff member who put our order through once again, and then realised we still hadn’t got our order 15 minutes later. He followed up on it and gave us all a free shot. Additionally I could not eat one of my tacos as it was burnt tortilla and black and crispy. Overall the wait was a joke, food below average and I would recommend going to another place. Very disappointing

The staff was very good but the food wasn’t worth $59 at all it was too small the photo didn’t match what we saw when we ordered our food, we were still hungry when we left the place we went and had food else where which was much cheaper and well enjoyable.

Chicken fajita presentation was great but chicken too dry and the rice beans were under the tortillas and we didn't know until after we finished the meal. Service was lovely and staff were great. Music was bit too loud as we couldn't hear one of our servers properly

It was an amazing night but some of the staff were rude and the drinks took two times too long to arrive. I ordered 3 shots of tequila and it took 15 mins. Apart from that, everything else was a 10/10

Unfortunately some of our food didn’t come out until an hour and a half of ordering. And this was after we advised them on three separate occasions re the delay. In the end we needed to go and I hadn’t eaten so was left feeling disappointed. We were out celebrating my daughter’s b’day and she was upset with the outcome too!!

Very busy during peak times with a long queue to get in. I had a booking and told the bouncer that, but got sent to the back of the line. Then after talking to a friend who had already gotten in, I found out I had to get one of them to come out to collect us before being allowed in. The bouncers weren’t too helpful on that end and had I not found that out, I would’ve been at the mercy of the long queue. Once in, food was ordered via a QR code and paid for on the spot which is a very common practise these days. Food came out quick quickly, but a bit pricey compared to other places. The atmosphere was quite loud and it was hard to communicate with others. Music could be a bit softer. It kind of felt like a club at times with the loud music. Overall, it was still enjoyable, but some things could be improved upon.

Asked to order using the app, but the daily special wasn't working, so we had to wait while they entered it into the system manually. Then we had to wait for more than an hour for mains, and got them only after asking twice. Food was ok, but not worth the wait!

About the restaurant

A real Tex-Mex experience

It took more than a year for the Urban Purveyor Group to come up with a true Tex-Mex concept for El Camino Cantina, but you know what they say, good things come to those who wait. This restaurant/cantina delivers brilliant tex-mex cuisine, just like you would find in cities like Austin, Texas. Think big, bold flavours in the form of spicy salsas, tacos, fajitas and enchiladas, plus an abundance of freshly squeezed, blended and shaken Margaritas. This fiesta style restaurants has two bars, a large dining room and a tequila and mescal lounge. It’s a place for loud voices and those looking to have a bit of fun. Let your hair down at El Camino.
