Extra fine, every time! Extra Virgin Fine Foods is a great little tapas spot in Crows Nest, perfect for a special occasion or romantic night out. The menu is a mix of both Spanish and French-inspired flavours with a variety of charcuteries and planchas, bite-size share plates and tapas crowd-pleasers like patatas bravas, croquetas, and beef sliders. There are several set menus to give you a tiny taste of everything, although it’s hard to resist the mouth-watering mains and fresh traditional paella for two that is cooked only upon request. The paella takes around 30 minutes to prepare, but it’s more than worth the wait. In keeping with Extra Virgin Fine Food’s authenticity, the wines, sherries and ports are from only France or Spain, although the homemade sangria also goes down a treat with some tapas starters. One sip and you’ll feel like you’re on the Costa Blanca! Best dish: Seafood paella.
