10/10Arrived at 6:30 and was delighted to see the restaurant is situated so it gets great light from 2 sides through large windows. The interior is minimalistic with the tables situated throughout and not too close to each other. We were immediately welcomed. The waiters were available to explain the menu and specials and offer suggestions on the differences between the dishes. The wine suggestion was a great bottle that wasn’t the most expensive on the list. The food was varied and delicious, and prices were reasonable for the quality and attention to detail. Even though the restaurant was full the noise level was very low. We would go back as often as possible except that we were tourists from the USA. . Don’t miss this restaurant.

6/10My wife and I have enjoyed returning to Fish At The Rocks over many years for the good food, ambience and pre-theatre dining. Unfortunately our latest visit wasn’t such a great experience, as my wife was quite ill vomiting later that evening. She put it down to the grilled Tasmanian salmon fillet that she commented at the time seemed a bit undercooked. So we would advise diners to beware the quality of underdone fish on the menu.

8/10Always a please when we dine at Fish At The Rocks, although a little disappointed with our fish & chips order this evening as the fish was not moist and also over battered with not much fish. Overall though it was an enjoyable meal.

10/10We had a great meal here with friends who have all said they would love to come back. The food was excellent as was the service provided by Duncan (? Hopefully his name). He had a great sense of humour and looked after our slightly rowdy table with a big smile.

10/10This is our favourite seafood restaurant and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh and delicious with plenty of menu choices as well as weekly specials. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the service is attentive and efficient. We always enjoy our dinners at Fish at the Rocks and look forward to our next visit.

9/10I believe the restaurant has been popular for many years and there’s no surprise. They serve fresh seafood in their ( obviously) tried and tested manner without too much fancy trimmings. The service is good, we liked some freshly baked bread rolls served without the hefty Sydney price - even though they were generic ‘bake at home’ kind of rolls you can get from supermarkets and served with foil wrapped portions of butter. We enjoyed our entrees of grilled octopus, salmon gravlax, and seafood salad we both had for our mains were fantastic. Highly recommend this little gem!

8/10I met family I hadn’t met before here from Kentucky and Texas (I’m from Perth, WA). My cousin suggested Fish after reading reviews and I kept my fingers crossed that the food and service would be good. We weren’t disappointed at all. The oysters were fresh and delicious as were the panko crab cakes with gochujang mayo and the fish pie, wagyu and Morton Bay Bug dishes were simple, all well cooked and produce spoke for itself. Unassuming, this place doesn’t try to be anything but good food and service. Really nice place.

10/10From Japan, visited Sydney with honeymoon vacation. In Japan, I ate many tempuras so far, but the prawn tempura at this restaurant is on par with any high-end restaurant in Japan. In addition, the seafood broth was so excellent!! Thank you for unforgettable dishes.

7/10Food was excellent however the service need improvement. We arrived and was given a table that was not set up properly When they could have given us other tables that was nicely set up. There were no serviettes, side plate for bread and I had to get up and ask for it. Waiters were not paying attention much to us busy with other guests.

9.5/10The charming and comfortable restaurant was the perfect place for our dinner in Sydney! Fresh seafood for every dish! If we didn’t have reservations for the nearby Observatory Tour, We would have also enjoyed dessert. Definitely will come again!

10/10What a great find! Excellent small restaurant with imaginative menu at decent prices. We were visiting from the UK (although I am originally from Sydney) and liked it so much, we dined there twice!
